I'm not surprised if in the near future, a strat signed by malmsteen will turn up in the market with a price tag of rm 1million.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Sep 28 2018, 06:04 PM) i think i'll bring a dunkin donuts box and ask him to sign it. Hahaha he and Axl Rose don't eat donutsfor those who dunno...throwback to when pantera made fun of malmsteen Edit: Ok I take it back, seeing Malmsteen live was the best night of my life. Holy shit man I cried when he started to play Far Beyond The Sun. Sure he's a little sloppier now, but to have that energy of running around the stage at 55 years old, it's just amazing. Good thing I brought my earplugs otherwise I would have gone deaf. This post has been edited by ariffdude: Oct 1 2018, 08:59 AM |

Hello fellow musician.
I am currently looking for a semi hollow/hollow electric guitar either from Epiphone (i.e Wildkat, BB King, Swingster or Emperor) or Ibanez (Artcore series). Thus, I've been to Swee Lee, Bentley and Music Blizz guitar shop to looking for those guitar model and all of them have those model that I have stated above be it in stock or can be ordered. However, all the semi hollow/hollow model for both epipohone and ibanez are currently only available for China made whilst I remember back then in 2012 I last saw the semi hollow Indonesian made at Icons Music, Puchong. Hence, I would like to ask whether has Ibanez and Epiphone stopped manufacturing their semi hollow/hollow model in Indonesia/Korea/Japan? I have bad experience with China model before since most guitar that I previously own or tested which using China wood had produce unsatisfied tone and sound compared to Indonesian and Korea/Japan. Will there any chance I could I find the semi hollow guitar model in Malaysia that is either Indonesia, Korea or Japan made? Thnxx |

QUOTE(Dominic Toretto @ Oct 10 2018, 10:07 PM) Hello fellow musician. it depends on your budget and guitar you looking at, keep in mind that "back in 2012" is about 6 years away and naturally inflation and stuff has happened. Most of the brands now manufacture in China for their sub 4k guitars, its not often to find a guitar that is MIK for less than 4k really, you might be able to spot a used MIK Epi from time to time or if lucky snag a NOS-MIK Gretsch (they are around 4k ish) I am currently looking for a semi hollow/hollow electric guitar either from Epiphone (i.e Wildkat, BB King, Swingster or Emperor) or Ibanez (Artcore series). Thnxx or you can opt for lesser brands like cort, or godin (i think they have one thats about 2k ish, tho i recommend testing it out first). But they may get China standards, so i leave that to you to decide on another hand , most semi hollows dont use good tone wood, they use ply wood (multi pc maple) with exceptions of some really really expensive models. or if you dont mind thin lines (semi hollows technically), you can look at PRS CE Zack Myers :%20Smart%20Shopping%20Campaign&utm_term=[SSC-000000000000-00000-00000-0]:%20Smart%20Shopping%20Campaign_xxmo0000000at0000_c_pla-296303633664&adjust_tracker=t2v78t_5n20iw&adjust_campaign=1032211143&adjust_adgroup=54400014687_c_pla-296303633664&adjust_creative=296303633664_112406563_118068501&tracker_limit=1000000&ef_id=W77MFQAABc886ivA:20181011040541:s]Zack Myers This post has been edited by +3kk!: Oct 11 2018, 12:07 PM |

es335 is forgiven la.
due to the nature of its construction, laminated maple doesnt affect it as much as a full hollow. plus eric johnson can make it sound good on cliffs of dover |

QUOTE(quarantined @ Oct 12 2018, 10:10 AM) yea, its one of the great contradictions of semi hollows and hollowslogically, wood should be a thing, but its not cause of how its made (the bracing and bars make a bigger difference.) then most folks who buy these guitars turn the tone knob down to mud, then play mud jazz on it. hell even i do it, QUOTE(Everdying @ Oct 12 2018, 10:46 AM) es335 is forgiven la. dont even think a full hollow makes much differencedue to the nature of its construction, laminated maple doesnt affect it as much as a full hollow. plus eric johnson can make it sound good on cliffs of dover |
