haha alright
still a MkV is a pretty good versatile amp to let go with some pedals (compessor/EQ) Im sure the clean will sound good too. |

so been messing around with the mesa, did a test track
https://soundcloud.com/bananafritters/test-mesa-2 the cleans are really lol, very bloated and not well balanced, kinda needs a comp to balance it out. crunch on the other hand its amazing for somewhat comparision , vox on mic https://soundcloud.com/bananafritters/untitled1 |

QUOTE(quarantined @ Jul 11 2018, 12:15 PM) its not even a humbucker , its the mini-bucker thats in the recording. I could technically get it to work, lowering the volume to about 1-3 ish, plugging it into a cab then miking that thing up. also an EQ with comp in front would help.but the low headroom, rather odd EQ puts it into quite a tricky situation oh the second crunch riff, is on the clean channel with the same setting so if you want them crunch, you cant get it clean This post has been edited by +3kk!: Jul 11 2018, 12:56 PM |

Anderson, i thought put the crazy versatile axe into the crazy versatile ampcause it definitely doesnt sound like your traditional strat or tele but why bother about cleans la, Mk amps are meant to boogey!! but apparently that combo gave me something without cleans yea, its just one of the test and stuff i do then since the gain stuff sounds good and easy to dial, the cleans is kinda the nagging quest to achieve |

QUOTE(LeaSe*lineR @ Aug 2 2018, 06:37 PM) emg direct to jack, pot only for the neck lolol as passive seems to play louder. rather interesting as it sort of works when the toggle switch is in the middle position haha. but i usually play metal.. this pickup combination is actually used by the guitar it is modeled after. but the wiring scheme is pure guessing |

i see 2 knobs and 1 selector...
so the best way to wire it is to have 2 vols...a regular 250k pot and 25k pot...along with a stereo jack... |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Aug 3 2018, 11:13 AM) i see 2 knobs and 1 selector... it's one 500k pot, both are wired to it (yes it behaves like a switch to the emg but it's mainly to balance the louder passive pickup dimarzio DP101), a 3 way toggle and then last one is a switch for the emg to bypass the vol knob, aka direct output to the stereo jack. no tone knob so the best way to wire it is to have 2 vols...a regular 250k pot and 25k pot...along with a stereo jack...
