What? What happened to Googal?

On a lighter note... yesterday when feeding Rambo and Kiki, something funny happened. As usual Kiki goes into a frenzy when given mealworms, and even would pick fights against Rambo (which she kenot win) for worms. So yesterday my friend dropped worms into a bowl and Rambo was in it eating the last one. As usual, Kiki wants to fight with Rambo for the worm, but guess what - Rambo lied on his back, eating the worm in his hands, while using his legs to push Kiki away. laugh.gif Damn funny!

Overnite haven't been on the forum so many things happened...

Googal cry.gif R.I.P

What happened?? He/she looked fine in the pix the other day... sad.gif

Novo, as everyone has said, keeping too many suggies is not easy, now you decide to sell them. Make sure they go to good homes, to people who knows how to take care of them and how to bond with them. Suggies get depressed if shifted to many2 homes and the more homes they go, the harder to tame them. Imagine being only 7-8 months perhaps and being shifted to 5 homes already. Wouldn't that even hurt a child? Have you managed to determine how old are they yet? If adults, they need more time to bond and more patience from the owner. Do take good care of them.

Well, if they're not adults yet, then easy to bond lah. Read up on the bonding process, follow it carefully, then it should be ok.

coldfusionpower -- With regards to bonding with Chika (I hope I got her name right? : )) try this method -- I used it with my friend's glider who was a little skittish. Take the coconut shell out and leave the sleeping pouch in the cage (preferably one with drawstrings so you can close it and leave only a bit of it open for air). When the glider goes into the pouch, let her settle down for a few minutes and then slowly take the pouch out, I would suggest that you try closing the pouch first before taking it out. She might crab but try not to jump or get too surprised eh -- just expect that she'll do it and you'll be okay. Take the pouch out, be sure to close the drawstrings/tie it up, etc and now you can hold her close to you. Putting her against your chest would be a good idea as this will help to soothe her a little, plus your heartbeat might remind her of being in mummy's pouch tongue.gif Carry her around for a few hours or for however long you want to. This starts the bonding process. Whatever you do, during the first few days of doing this, please try to refrain from opening the pouch to take a peek at her. You might frighten her and this will just cause her to crab again. When she's in the pouch, you can get her accustomed to your voice. Don't worry about noise or whatever, gliders will get used to this and its best you get her used to the environment your in anyways. You can even start calling her name out and she'll slowly learn it soon enough. Also, when you think she's settled down and is used to you, you can start handing her treats through the pouch's opening. Yoghurt on the finger is always a yummy treat. So is a cube of apple or a raisin (with regards to raisin, only feed two to three pieces a week -- it isn't that good for gliders to take) I wish you all the best! And keep us posted! Cheers! smile.gif

Yeah, CFP, misa's method is similar to what I would suggest. Just put in the sleeping pouch and take out the coconut. Once she gets used to the pouch, it'll be A-OK smile.gif

Cheaka, your Gollum still cool after all the hype... laugh.gif

Yeah, the bedding does help a bit. Did a whole spring cleaning and modification to his cage when I got back. But my hubby thinks the woody smell is too strong and weird...
