thx for the info..actually i juz bought this glider..i dont know either its WC or CB..but i see they all 5 get along..i put it in same cage n they do not fight..n 1 info i bought 5 for RM850..so cheap le but it abit hard to tame..

the price depends on glider age...as it grows older, it's harder to tame thus cheaper. wink.gif

Wah.... that is cheap... but are they adults or joeys? Too many gliders is hard to tame. If you want to tame them, you have to seperate them into pairs and slowly bond with each pair.... that is gonna be really hard. This is why we only have the most, 1 pair so we can easily tame and bond.

Gliders can live 10 to 15 years lah.... wah... you never read up on them?

The best age to sell off is about 3 months out of pouch.

I think you have adults... and yah, very hard or unlikely to tame them if you do not take the time and effort to bond with them.

Erm.... breed them for sales? gliders only breed twice a year only.... and is a long process and needs special diet and care for breeding... best you read up lah.

i suggest u not to breed as there are complications coming if u are doing so...it may kill the glider and also the baby without fundamental knowledge of rearing a glider. It is not as simple as breeding hamster or rabbit as they are from the different Order of the animal kingdom thus requires full attention towards it.

And also you may risk losing your adult gliders as well nod.gif as they are cannibal towards their own kind wink.gif

Males will have a bald spot(botak).. then it means it is adult already.

Yes, gliders need large cages so yah, need to spend money lah.

Gliders can readily breed at the age of 8 months old.... they are different from hamsters and rabbits lah.... breeding would need hideboxes, good supply of proper food. Their diet cannot have any seeds or nuts coz it can cause blockage in the gut.

Dogfood can be given but only when it is soaked and should not contain garlic(most dogfood contain garlic). Hard dry dogfood that has not been soaked can cause a disease known as lumpy jaw.

There should be a variety of fruits in the diet, not just apples.

Also 25% of their diet should be insects.... should be feeding crickets and mealworms.

I agree totally to this thumbup.gif

gliders should not be seen as breeding machines lah.... they do need extra care and research... really different animals from rodents....

if you take as a pet, you should have have 5 but only a pair.... really.... other families helping you tame is not an option. Should not be greedy also mah no matter how cheap 5 gliders come about.

The thing we like to see is glider bonding with it's OWNER. Not other people.... you must know these animals are social. Also we shouldn't take them as breeding machines for extra cash. Breed as a hobby? Fine lah but just stick to 1 pair.... it is painful to see gliders being bred and sold without proper care and information. All coz people get the adults cheaply.

I still think your gliders could be adults since so cheap.... and they can live 15 years.... very long lived animals.... and males have very strong smell.... 1 male already make 1 room stink a bit... but more? I guess people would start to complain. Also the cages should be 3ft high.... a proper cage....

you don't see them fight now coz day time.... at night while you are asleep maybe they fight? Anyway.... it is really best to only have 1 pair. Read up not only from this forum but websites. All would say never house adult males together if have a female around....

Hun already answer u in this wink.gif that is the basic fundamental part of identifying whether it's a adult or joey... after that u compare the adult (which is the standard analysis tool) to the rest of the pack in terms of size and length.

Told you... look at the male... botak head means adult lah. And possible all are the same age since you bought them together.

If you wanna tame... just keep 1 pair lah. Really easier... 5 to tame is very hard. Even majority of websites said never tame more than 1 pair to tame....

Bonding and taming gliders is different from mantis and scorps and Ts lah.... those no emotional feelings like gliders.... I know coz I also have those... and they are tame but they do not bond. You must understand why we get gliders.

Gliders are like little children in an animal's body. They require special diets and special care....

Read all you can lah. That's the best to start.... the 1st page got lots of basic information already. Anyway, if you seperate, make sure your room mate also take effort to bond with them lah. Then sure you and your room mate will enjoy the company of gliders.

Gliders can be adorable and make us want to cuddle and kiss them... but aiyoh, some can be a little annoying hahhaah... like my Kiah.... but this is coz they got the personality of a child... and children can be adorable and annoying too eheheh....
