Small animals just make your heart ache... especially those little young ones.... ah... I showed Kiah's joey pics to hamster9, she also kinda shock to see so small. Good to know Yuri ate something.

Ai, Kiah no cage wan.... at least in drawer she plays with my clothes ahahah.... can keep her occupied... but she's already out and sleeping in my jeans pocket. I no need wear that pair of jeans anymore loh... became Kiah's sleeping pouch ahahah....

Hun, do I need to rotate the glider mix flavor or sticking to one until it is finish is ok? Takut Iggy boring eating the same flavor everynite... But also takut if I get another flavor he'll be choosy... Ohh, he is also not eating his veggie now. Carrot also dun wan. Last time his prev owner gave him carrots and mealworms only...

if u also dun wan to eat a same food everyday. but the glider mix u can use it as makanan ruji. i always give diffrent fruits everyday. epal,sweet mango and lychee. will rotate laa..

Yah.... she was the size of a hamster... adult dwarf hamster size... kinda small loh.... but luckily now she is good... and really really manja and naughty. She is not afraid of snake or gecko or bearded dragon.... she even wanna go kacau my snake and she bit my gecko's nose.... too brave already hahaha...

Yah, I think I must cut some old clothes and stuff it into the pouch.... she ah.... get her nice pouch but she prefers my jeans.... eeee....

The glider mix, no problem, so far rotating flavours is no problem. Maybe you want to try chicken next time? Hahahah....

Carrots? hmmm... maybe carrots not sweet enough. I gave Kiah dragon fruit last night, she likes it.... maybe you can try? Of if you can drop by my place, I can hand you a sample of fruit smoothie to try.

ciku... maybe can lah. Most tropical fruits can be given to gliders.

Yup, the glider mix is a must everynite, but the fruit I rotate everyday

Apples - ok
Pears - love it
Papaya - so so
Banana - don like
Honeydew - ok
Jambu air - ok
Mango - ok
Water chestnut (senkuang cina) - love it

The stocks that are always in my fridge are apples & pears ofcourse, the rest I get fresh daily from the fruit seller at my office

Others...
Yogurt (peach) - love it
Dried mango - love it (this, I use as treats only, like dessert like that )

Ohh, and mealworms - love it

Wan to ask, let's say you are keeping a sg and suddenly u intorduce a sg with the opposite sex to the one you're keeping, will they fight? And how bout with the same sex?

Well.... normally introducing opposite sex is easier. Males will accept females better and faster coz to them... new mate hahahah.... Females can also readily accept males but some can reject the males (like my Kiah) but nothing serious would come about it.

Males on the other hand would chase and fight each other. Unless they were paired up extremely young, like male siblings and they have never been introduced to a female before, then the males won't fight. Glider males normally fight for females and territory. So if territory no females, then should be ok.

But intro a young male joey to an adult male.... bad idea... very dangerous.

How bout female and female? Last time i saw urs fought with Andrew's, is that a rare occasion?

Well, Kiah didn't fight with Oshine or Chiwek when hamster9 and alieamin were at my place.... I would say rare occasion lah.

yeah, the seller told me that we are the one of several country which produce and export to local n oversea,espeacially taiwan n japan. is that true at all? i thought that we only import.
anyway i feel pity with those unsin joeys.

The thing about malaysian pet stores is they don't give a damn about reading about the animals that they sell. Many keep their sugar gliders in less than optimum conditions, and feed them the completely wrong things. Also, many tend to treat the gliders badly, leading to aggressive and untamable gliders.

Can give carrot also. I like carrot juice mah, so when use the juice extractor, the juice I drink, add a but juice to the sisa sisa left in the juice extractor there. Give to them. They will chew chew and throw out like makan tebu.

True, true... Sugar glider sales thread are popping like mushrooms. The sad thing is that they don't really know about gliders, let alone feeding them and how to take care of them, the important thing is money... Why can't they take a little time to learn a thing or two about gliders before selling them? Atleast get their food right. Buyers also need to understand that taming/bonding a glider takes time, no matter how old they are, with patience they CAN bond with you. Selling a glider because they are not tame or do not bond with you properly is not the solution. When a glider get transfered to many-many homes, they carry an emotional baggage with them, they will feel unwanted thus becoming aggressive until they find the right owner that will bear with them no matter what.

Sorry if I get carried away, but I have come to learn a lot of things about glider before getting one and more since becoming a proud owner of one. I don't think I have ever been more responsible since owning a glider myself despite the things that I have to go through.

Depends on Kiah's mood. When she was a joey, maybe she'll crab and fight. But once she matured along the way she would begin to accept other gliders. During the last pet gathering at Ikano, Kiah still crabs at Chiwek. Only recently...

Having SG is simply magical. Yuri and Chiwek has both different personalities.. Yesterday Yuri was sleeping inside the Renoma handbag...then he came out walked about 2 inch from the bag and poo...then went back in and sleep. Hours later, he came out..walked to the same spot and pee...and went back to the bag and sleep again..He is so darn adorable

hahaha, at least you can control his pee poo edy~

Left her out for one night, I couldnt sleep, she was jumping all over~

jumped onto my bed and crawled up and stared at my face then jumped off and went exploring again~

Chiwek will be looking for my hand to wrestle at night. When I'm too tired...while wrestling with him, i slowl pass him to my hubby

While Yuri, he only finds my hubby to wrestle with.

Chiwek loves climbing the curtain while Yuri is a ground fella. So basically Chiwek is more attached to me while Yuri is to my husband.

Yes, magical, amazing and very entertaining

Brought Iggy to work again today, let him roam free for a while, jumped all over me and on top of my head He doesn't wanna come when I call him if he's out exploring, but will climb onto me if I am near him

Today, he seems to pee everywhere

Do you have ceiling fan?

My apt only uses ceiling fan, I don't have air-cond, so I'm worried to let him out and explore at night without my supervision.
