Ahahah.... all of you soft heart.... if you google glider diet, there is a breeder that gives live day old chicks to glider to eat. That is worst than a pinkie. You see, in the wild they can find their own food and when they need high protein they will hunt for live prey lah.... but tame, do we give them enough protein? Do they get enough calcium? Do they get enough nutrients? So many breeders in other countries try as much to create diets that are close to the wild diet. Offering pinkies or chicks is just a way for getting better protein into a glider's system. Gliders are not domesticated pets... they are still considered wild at heart.

My glider still young loh.... I offer her mealworms for now. I actually gave a pinkie to my leopard gecko and tarantula before.... coz it is good for them... well, for SG, you don't need to give pinkies and chicks everyday, if you give cooked chicken, good enough. I would consider giving a live pinkie once a while when my glider older lah... of course need to breed mice first hahaha....

Hmmmm.... never see that before... nail trimmer.... gives me an idea of lining the normal wheel with some fine sand paper. I think it will work too provided it is the fine sand paper which is safe on their paws.

Climb And Trim Nail Ladder
user posted image
This is a BIG issue for humans owned by their suggies!
The Climb And Trim Nail Ladder provides a place for your glider to climb on to reach a favorite spot in their home and trimming those picky little nails at the same time.
This item also provides a very SAFE method to trimming nails without making them too short thus causing injury as not being able to climb as other products contain a warning about injury!
This item need no warning message as it is created by a top business in the pet industry and is used for many pets and is non toxic and safe!
It works as they climb up and down the ladder trimming them in a natural time frame.
The Trimming Ladder hangs on the side of any cage even at the top of a cage resting on a perch, as shown above!
It can also stand up on the bottom of the cage if your suggie is a bottom dweller.

The JUMBO Sit And Snack Nail Trimming Station provides a place for your glider to climb on and have a snack with the convenient snack cup that attaches in different positions on the Trimming Station.
Just add some Zoo Med Worms Or Crickets to the snack cup and they will gladly move back and fourth while having a nutritious snack and trimming those picky little nails at the same time.

LOL.... I mentioned already to use fine sand paper mah hehehe.... anyway, this product is an idea from bird toys coz in US, they produce nail trimmers for parrots, very similar to the ones you posted.

Bulk? Gonna be damn costly... better find someone who is going there for holiday and maybe tumpang beli.... I think that is much better coz bulk you may need to order quite a number, plus shipping and currency... wah... pengsan later hehehh....

Don't be surprise that glider eat pinkies. So a big warning to those who has hamsters with them. Mine almost atk my hamster when the hamster went near the cage. Also from time to time, when I'm feeding them, they saw my hamster biting the cage, they will hop to the cage. Scaring my hamster...

Now I have to place my hamsters' cage as high as possible in order to avoid incident happen.

As for nail trimming, I would not recommend using those things. Coz it might hurt your gliders' naked hands and feets. Those are sand paper and their hands and feets are quite soft. So... better don't...

I cut their nails on every 2 weeks schedule basis. I would not miss it coz if I miss the schedule, will mean pain to my body hahahaha...

we're not too concerned with Pie's nails because she doesn't really dig her nails into the skin when walking. but donny's nails are pretty sharp. we just use a nail file.
