Good day, have anybody here try SCI service & are they good in sales & after sales service?
Also any comment of their price & so on...?
I was at the HomeDec KLCC yesterday & thinking to use their service but not so sure about their service & etc...
Expecially their kitchen appliances, what they told me those are all their own product & they even do OEM supply to other big brand (but of coz they won't tell me the name). Some how as a consumer brands also important because of their quality & so on...
Hope that you guys can give me some valuable opinion here.
Many thanks!

I was at the same homedec too.
my sister's kitchen was done by sci, 4 years in, so far so good, but theirs is not a good yardstick as they hardly ever cook. Their white solid surface top has stains and some cracks already.

So, I would gladly like to hear of others' feedback as well

Hi Hoo,
The price really depends on the material u use...also note that for high gloss cabinet..price varies alot depending on how many layer they are using for you...lesser layers will create wavy surface..
Quartz stone surely expensive..but the finishing is really good..even harder than solid surface...
I could give you a quote if u require.. thumbup.gif

How about Beunos? They are about the only KC maker there at Homedec that impresses me. I was looking at the spray paint doors and I didnt spot any orange skin effect. But maybe for the show, they do more layers. Supply that time another story.

Hi Hoo,

I was dropped by to SCI booth yesterday, and quite impressive with their design and proposal and almost wanted to sign. However I insisted to walk thru the expo then Sunday only decide.

Before i went back, I was stopped at this booth, Dans Interior and they even creative and offer some new ideas and with cheaper package. You may check on that. Anyone can share their experience with Dans Interior?

I was at home dec for 2 days and going back again tomorrow. I'm not sure if we should pay deposit to "lock n price" immediately(say my house getting key this month), they say will hold the price for us for up till a year. But I'm thinking if I call them up after homedec and negotiate, most prob they will drop the price down to the same discounted price now too.

But of course this is my deduction, anyone with experience before?

sci all use chipboard carcass...chipboard Contact with water will " fat ", cant put heavy thing if not will dented , water resistant but not waterproof...
hi gloss door easy scratch , will become other color , finishing not nice....
quartz top better than solid surface...
fitting standard...
price chipboard normal...

I suggest use plywood carcass + 4g glass door/plywood laminate door/solidwood door + quartz top

Yea, same here. I was also about to sign their package but somehow their kitchen appliances somehow didn't really impress me.
Should be going back again tomorrow for final quote before making any booking.

If a company is good, they won't waste money at HOMDEC or other fair to promote their service.
Instead, their name will be mentioned by others.

I've paid 1k deposit but yet to use them, I ended up with bel kitchen instead as for almost similar pricing, I get a full aluminium kitchen cabinet that doesn't look ugly.

the starting price for SCI is cheaper than Bel Kitchen, but if you were to "upgrade" on the other hand, it is no longer that affordable.

Kitchen is the only place in home which needs more care and proper maintenance other than any part of the house. It also becomes a status symbol and regular practice to furnish your kitchen with modular cabinets and frames. A great kitchen idea can not only improve it but also bring praise and pride at your home space.

RTA cabinets are an easy solution for those who want to remodel their kitchen or bathroom but sometimes DIY homeowners take up the project which is too big to handle. Remodeling kitchen with RTA cabinetry can prove to be very fruitful whereas buying the wrong cabinets can be a big disaster.
