QUOTE(kinz_11 @ Jun 28 2007, 07:59 PM) AAaaaagh.. Crap.. But after awhile.. It's fine again.. Susah la macam ni.. Suddenly it works fine, and suddenly it's a lil hay wire.. It's a lil hard to show them the error.. Which is better? Send it back to the place I bought (Shong Lee 1Utama) or head back directly to Canon @ Saujana.. Lens mechanism sudah nak kaput. Anyone forcefully push the lens back in? Lol.. Added on July 1, 2007, 2:02 amQUOTE(Rithrade @ Jun 26 2007, 11:08 AM) mengsuan, Thanks a lot! I'm still undecided whether to buy S3 of S5 now. Since S5 is out and it appears that the price is as cheap as current S3, maybe S5 is a better buy. I don't know how well does it perform though. Added on July 1, 2007, 2:19 amQUOTE(ataris @ Jun 26 2007, 03:15 PM) guys, is there any website that teaches the basic of photography. ive owned an S3 for about 1 year but still i dont think that I fully used it. now i have a lot of time, i want to learn more about the functions and settings for a camera especially for S3. thanx. ive tried google but couldnt find a suitable guide. The Advanced Guide included in your camera package is a good start. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Jul 1 2007, 02:19 AM

QUOTE(kinz_11 @ Jun 28 2007, 11:38 AM) Guys.. I encountered a problem with my S3 lately.. When I tried to zoom, there was some continuous beeping sound.. The display goes black and said "Lens Error.. Restart Camera" and the camera just shuts with the lens extracted.. It happens over and over again even if I restart my camera.. Really pisses me off when I'm in the mid rush to get a nice shot.. just quick check.. 1. do you have lense adapter? if so sometimes when u try to zoom,, and the lense hit the adapter (by touching the tele/wide lense.. this error come out 2. did u in any circumstances that the lense is block by your hand or anything.. just quick check .. it happen to me last time

QUOTE(katopunk @ Jul 6 2007, 10:35 PM) Nice ones. The first pic looks like you used a ND Graduation filter. Clouds and sunset contrast against grass......I Like Hanging Chickens very sharp. Reminded me of how dirty our chinese hawkers are again. This post has been edited by julchin_09: Jul 7 2007, 03:10 AM

Wow really nice pictures there...must play more with my S3 until can reach that effect Anyone know where I can get a flash diffuser for the S3? edit: Never mind, found it already. Some shop called Eng Tong in SS2 carries the LumiQuest soft screen. Too bad they close at 6pm. Wonder how I can get there and buy it..hmm.. This post has been edited by zio: Jul 9 2007, 01:51 PM

Indoor got to use the flash, but the problem is direct flash usually means overexposed pictures. As for low light outdoor shots, higher ISO and try using noise software to fix it? Option 1: Go for bounce flash. I am still considering getting a trigger flash for the S3 but the bracket is so big and holding the flash with my hand seems weird. Option 2: Go for flash diffuser. Diffuse the flash so that there won't be direct flash exposure. Am trying to net myself one of these: Once I get it, I will try getting shots indoor again. See if it makes any difference. Although that ciggie solution in a few earlier posts might work for now

I've tried googling for S3's diffuser, but I cant find any. The ciggie box works for certain conditions only, how sad This post has been edited by morph: Jul 9 2007, 05:18 PM
