Check out ebay first. Original is still the best.

QUOTE(surefire v LED @ Jun 4 2014, 10:47 AM) Sorry out of topic a bit - anybody getting or using D838 @ LG G Pro 2? You can post at the g pro 2 thread. For me it's too big to be practical.. I've used 4.7 to 6.44in of the Sony Z Ultra. End up I stuck with 5.2in as it's easier to carry around. Not sure whether G3 is pocketable. It will be perfect if all current phones also have dual sim.Any difference in performance wise & picture video quality? Thanks. |

For users who have older generation before S800 can consider. I don't see the point from s800 to s801 plus it will have less battery life due to the screen. However I believe LG is going in the right direction and listening to customers.

Btw I just watched YouTube actually the back cover can be removed with a tool, thinking of getting original back cover of other colours to replace my black slippery one. It doesn't cost much plus it will keep the phone as slim as possible.. Around rm60 if not mistaken for original back covers from eBay.
Design of G3 still can be improved, the speakers if they can squeeze to the front in stereo will be perfect. The back if they can source out slimmer batteries, they can make the thickness drop to below 8mm. Processor and ram need to improve to handle the high resolution screen. QUOTE(NightFelix @ Jun 4 2014, 01:02 PM) Mind to share the YouTube video you watched just now? Will void warranty? LG G2 screen, digitizer, lcd, replacement Ogden, …: http://youtu.be/7IiqWDlefaIIf they have front-facing speaker, then will be the TOP 1 flagship killer. If you don't damage any of the original part shouldn't break any warranty. Thinking of using white or red back cover and keep the original one in the box. |

QUOTE(M.Tucker @ Jun 4 2014, 01:17 PM) Hi guys, have been testing Pardus HD Rom for a few days. excellent if you want a super fast stock experience without the bloatware, but with features from the cloudy roms and g3 ui. Yes pls let us know your comparison between the two roms, which one is faster, antutu and smoothness.am gonna try SOKP rom today. basically CM 11 with a few extra tweak functions like halo, peek, etc. LG camera and qremote can be flashed to it so if the knock functions all work, then it will be my daily driver for a while. |

Original parts on eBay.. Threadstarter can you add these links so new users won't kena slaughter? Been using the phone naked for a day, I think it's the best looking form when naked. If anyone wants to order original back cover maybe we can order a few to save cost. Actually it's slightly over rm100 a bit costly, but you do get assurance if the phone drops at least there is a replacement cover. I may get white cover, white camera lens and button and white sim tray to mix and match. Now only thing missing is the removal device.. Since the ask can be opened, worthwhile to get some spare parts like battery if you plan to keep the phone for awhile. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Jun 4 2014, 04:01 PM |

I think so too... The screen is the heaviest part and it will drop screen down first .. I've put on a tempered glass screen protector, hopefully it will protect it somewhat but best way to protect is prevention.. I put the whole phone inside a soft leather pouch which wont scratch and can withstand drops.

double tap is fine with CM11, I'm using it now. I also use the stock CM11 camera to take my 2 phone pouch in a dark bedroom, pic still can be seen.

QUOTE(M.Tucker @ Jun 4 2014, 05:26 PM) arghs... back to Pardus HD rom, SOKP was missing too many features, and the lg camera doesn't play nice with it, Can't accept 26k antutu that's lower than rm600 phone ie. Xiaomi Note. Stock kitkat can still get 34k. Though in real life usage the scores don't mean much ie. Low score Moto E can beat Samsung S5 in opening apps and moving from one point to another, scrolling etc.Really hoping to switch to CM11 soon, however the inability to double tap on the lockscreen to off display is holding me back. ( from desktop is fine cos i'm using kk launcher) Edit: For real life use this Pardus Rom is excellent, only one bug (weather animation not working in lockscreen -its a wip). Other than that , feels snappier than regular stock, and gets even better battery life, |

QUOTE(M.Tucker @ Jun 4 2014, 06:52 PM) Can knock off on lockscreen? Also when screen is off, does pressing the volume down button still launch the camera? Will try cm11 and energy rom tmrw when I'm at work. Knock on can knock off only in status bar. Maybe got mods for it. I only use knock on to unlock the phone and knock off when im already on the homescreen. |
