What's the best way to save all your info before flashing a new rom eg we chat, whatsapp, games..

What's the link for Optimus vrom? Can u try antutu for it see what's the score? I'm not sure why cloudyflex 2.3 score only 21k.

Thanks, .. there is now a cloudyflex 2.4.. do I have to erase everything again to upgrade to the latest version? Quite a hassle to do this everytime. Did the freezer trick the antutu scores went up to 27k, but still a far cry from 34k on stock rom.. strange..

Ok I've confirmed that cm11 rom is faster than cloudyflex 2.3. Able to score 34k on latest antutu vs 27k for cloudyflex. Cm11 is closer to stock android rom in terms of outlook too. On the downside you lose the LG camera but you can download seperate 3rd party ones.

Post at garage section. Price around 1.1k +/- for few months old.

After using cm11 for a day everything works well, signal is stronger than cloudyflex and previously I could only get H, now can get H+ and 4G at my area. Only downside is Google now is not immediately accessible compared to Nexus and Google now launcher. Otherwise it's almost perfect. They even have One Plus One theme lol

Can sorta feel how One Plus One will perform since it runs on modified CM11. Can confirm that it will be faster than most due to less bloat, but they gotta improve the stock cm11 camera app.. It loses out to LG G2 version 6.4 3rd party app by a mile.

I'll stick with cm rom since there is an external LG camera app that can be used. I prefer the almost stock android looks of the cm11.

Nightleys. Performs stable as well. Network signals are much faster than cloudyflex.

Unlikely but you can download G3 theme if you are using one of the cloudy roms.

I was using it with stock lg rom before.. Will try it with cm11 see if there is a difference. Yes you are right scores are not everything, but I still feel cm11 is smoother than cloudyflex.

That's what I was thinking.. Whether glass sp would have protected it.. It's clear that the casing was useless.. I still put my whole phone inside a leather pouch when I'm not using it, so if it falls it falls on soft leather first.

My phone fell from a coffee table few days ago but it was around 2 feet and floor is carpeted, luckily nothing wrong.

Did you do full wipe plus factory reset? I changed from cloudy to cynogen it's working fine.

Can you do an antutu benchmark for your cloudy rom? Which cloudy are you using? I got extremely low scores for cloudyflex 2.3. Even as low as 16k. When phone cools down max I got was 26k. For Cynogenmod 29k when warm and 35+k when cool down on balanced mode. Haven't tried performance.

I suspect latest Antutu software scale down the scores by 3-4k. Warm temp or cool temp? Try letting it cool down in the freezer for 1 minute, place your phone inside then run the test. Don't forget to take it out otherwise you end up with an ice cube phone.

I was very surprised cloudyflex only got 16k when warm ie when phone was charging. I guess that's why phones like HTC one feels smooth all the time is not only because of the UI but also better heat disbursement. Aluminium body can act as a heatsink to disperse heat out while plastic contains heat inside.

congrats, that's a steal. How many month's old is the phone?

Cloudy you get the advanced camera features built in where as other roms you need to install seperate apps that are compatible. All depends on your preference. I don't really like flashing rom everyday so after testing cloudy and CM I stuck with CM due to the almost stock android and faster performance overall.

they are on the soft side for me.

I think somebody bought replacement screen from eBay before quite cheap.. If not mistaken less than rm300. better than throwing the phone away.

There is a sound mod on Xda you can try it.. Slight improvement on sound quality and slightly louder. Phone must be rooted with recovery.

Btw anyone tried Viper4Andriod sound mod?

I think it makes a noticeable improvement for the sound quality and loudness as well. Not sure how much CPU power it consumes though, I chose the highest setting and now the sound sounds like coming from the front of the phone rather than from the bottom. Hope to hear your feedbacks.
