I suggest waiting for 2-3 weeks if not in urgent need. Judging from prices of Samsung S5, HTC One and Z2, the G3 will drop below rm2k.

it was mentioned before u need to delete lteconfig file. Do check the xda forum.

Send for warranty lah what else.. Hardware problems cannot be fixed with software.

No reported case here. It is unusual screen will flicker because of Kitkat alone. There must be some hardware issues.

Btw Optimus G3 rom is out, slightly different from CloudyG3, anyone tried?

There is no Malaysia version. All are AP sets D802.

Cloudyg3 1.1 is available for download now, so far so good havent encountered any major issues.

Full wipe then install. Previously using cm11.

Go ahead no harm.

Btw slight changes on CloudyG3 1.1, the Google Now bar can now be accessed directly, you can say 'Ok Google' at the main screen without having to click on the bar.

Tried Antutu benchmark and it can achieve above 35k, I'll probably stick to this rom for the time being.

All the cloudy rom have it.

If yours is stock rom it should be able to upgrade but since it's stuck, just go back into recovery, clean your cache and reinstall the update again. If it fails, then find the latest stock rom with knock code and reinstall the whole rom. Before that make sure u delete dalvik cache and cache, don't delete data first see if it works otherwise all your info will be wiped.

Good that you found a solution, I suggest saving all your data now. Haha your the only person who still miss the old rom, cloudyg3 is exact how G3 software works without having to buy a new phone.

Upgraded camera siftware is also better than the stock camera.

did you buy new or 2nd hand? Any screen protector used?

One is a phone the other is a phablet, for me I'll go for G3 straight.

haha yea actually G2 score higher than G3 in Antutu also, but I like the G3 design more and it does look like the HTC One brushed metal. Actually not much reason to upgrade if you have G2 already, just wait for G4 or newer models to arrive and use this as a 2nd phone.

price going down too.. RM21++ now, very soon it will be below RM2k.. but it will take a long time before it goes to RM1.2-1.3k haha

I got a buyer for my G2 for RM950.. don't know whether to accept or not, haven't thought what phone I wish to get after this.

There's some rom what is specially modded for tempered glass sp.. Check out spideroo rom.

Sorry about that.. Earlier some senior owners here mentioned rooted stock rom can be upgraded, worse case scenario it won't brick the rom.. Which is true in a way yours did not totally brick.

Btw those who want a more responsive browser with tempered glass try using Javelin browser, it's more someone and sensitive compared to Chrome.

Sold my G2 today, kinda miss the G3 room on a G2.
