Yeah, they went pork free long ago, even before the takeover.

The butter smell is from the dishes with the hot plate.  Can see the oily residue rising up.  brows.gif  rclxm9.gif

Not sure if they use real butter for that.

But if they can't even get the regular bread + butter spread right, I'm not going back. Hmph!!!!

Felt so ripped off when I went there the last time.

Okay back to topic. To the TS, the majority here have no idea where to get you a fine-dine Western restaurant that has a Halal certificate. Wait for someone else's reply.

maybe TS should search for food blogger instead of lowyat maybe? and i was curious, if wine to be cook, isn't the alcohol will evaporate and left no more alcohol in the food? as far i know alcohol drink was haram because alcohol drink will make you "high" and do things without consent....if cooked shud be ok isn't? just curious~

Are u stupid or what? ofc we're looking for halal food to eat. This is malaysia not London or whatsoever so fancy restaurants here would consider cooking more halal shit rather than cooking pork full of maggots for people like u. Because most of Malaysia citizens is muslims, i bet there is more fancy halal restaurant out there in malaysia rather than fancy piggy restaurant.

Fancy western restaurant doesn't necessarily include pork as part of their menu but alcohol is always included during cooking the meal. Fancy Halal restaurants is probably like Saloma at Jln Ampang or Seri Melayu (or Seri Malaysia, i forgot) nearby Prince hotel. Basically what the guys are trying to say, trying to get good / fancy western cuisine which doesn't not involves alcohol in it gonna be bit hard. Sometimes, even the meat is not halal for example Wagyu or Argentinian beef. Opening a restaurant in Malaysia doesn't necessarily has to cater for Muslim as well, actually there is not such rule for that. Rule of thumb is just that if there's no Jakim halal logo there, it's non-halal and consuming foods there is at your own discretion.

in the first place, all these fancy restaurants will cook their meats with wine... enough said?
this is why i always say malays are mostly katak bawah tempurung.... even if you dont get the chance to try, at least watch some tv... learn how they cook... and if you are too lazy or dont understand english... see my reply above.... and yes although they dont add wine in all their dishes but i know very well they dont change their skillets...

For brother, western. For boyfriend tak kisah. (I'm not gay, just doing a favor for a friend)

Forgot one more important thing, must be halal
