Hi,

Can the Q16 support external dvd drive via the USB ports? I have quite a number of files backed up in DVD-R and would like to find a player that can read them off the external dvd drive.

This is Youtube problem, Smart TV and Android TV box with HDMI output will not have 1080p option.

Technically yes, but I will not recommended as it is too complex for ordinary users. Below are the requirement :

1). You need USB DVD Drive which must support USB OTG.
2). Extra power supply to the portal DVD player, the USB power might not enough
3). You need media importer app which is not free.

The best way is to rip your DVD to ISO files and store in the portable HDD or NAS. The same for Blueray where Q16 could read directly the BDMV file in the HDD without ripping.

Thanks nicety for quick and good support! To get 1080p option for YouTube videos, the below fix worked for me

Playback has some microstutter, but this is seen at any resolution (must be the YouTube app problem)

The firmware 109 already uploaded in the Skydrive.

Thanks bro. Item received in good condition. Noticed that the Mele F10 is better (when press direction key, cursor disappears) than the one I bought last year and it has micro usb connector instead of mini usb.

Also found that Apex Launcher was not installed like the previous one I got. Installed it from Play Store and all is good now.

Just uploaded two Anime APK file to the Skydrive, please try and enjoy. Just sort the APK file by last modified date to identify which APK.

P/S : If you having dual core model, please kindly take care of the free flash memory space. If necessary, please uninstall inactive apps. If you have Q16 Quad Core model, then not an issue as there is 4GB of apps partition which allow you to install hundred of apps without issue.

Yes, more English apps will be coming soon. Currently I am testing the app where you could add your customized m3u file directly, simple and easy, no need the complex setup in the Kodi.

kodi is not esp user friendly. i hv seen too many struggle with it!

3). Please try install TVAPP PC version in your PC and let me know if it is the same.
