I have q5ii nand and I am not very satisfied because the kernel is 720p,xbmc is not working well and there is not 24p playback. The q16 quad has improved in those areas ?
1080/24p is supported in resolutions and most important the kernel is 1080p or just 720p ?
I live in Greece do you sent abroad if I pay you with PayPal and what will be the price including postage in us dollars ?

Yes, Q16 Quad core kernel is 1080p, please find attached XBMC detected, you may compare with your Q5II.

I've just bought a HiMedia Q16 Quad Core from nicety after previously getting a HiMedia Q5II from him due to the excellent service he provided.

The delivery was very quick and he set everything up nicely with useful apps.

He's definitely a seller that I would wholeheartedly recommend if anyone is looking for an Android TV box. Not to mention, the product itself is an improvement over the decent Q5II. smile.gif

Hello nicety. I noticed that the firmware version of my box is 1.0.2 while the latest version on your OneDrive is 1.0.4. How do I upgrade the firmware? There's an option to perform a local upgrade in the Settings menu. Can I download the file from your OneDrive and perform the upgrade using that option? Thanks. smile.gif

Dear Customers,

Firmware for Quad Core(1.0.4) and Dual Core(1.0.8) already available in my Skydrive. Just download the firmware from my Skydrive to your Pendrive root directory (DO NOT unzip the file or save in subfolder). There is 2 way to upgrade the firmware :


1). Goto Setting -> Upgrade -> Choose local upgrade. This method will retain the apps and settings after the upgrade.


2). Use the Restore Button to upgrade. This method is clean upgrade, it will remove all the apps and setting, pls backup the apps before use 2nd method. Detail step by step guide is in the Skydrive.

P/S : Upgrade the firmware only when necessary. If the current firmware do not give any issue, it is advisable not to upgrade.

Below are the change log for Dual Core(1.0.8) :
1. Add MangoTV logo in the loading screen
2. Long press HOME button to enter recent used apps and clean apps from memory
3. Minor improvement of Himedia Launcher
4. Fix wrong time shown in some Live TV Apps
5. Launcher error -> http://bbs.himedia.cn/thread-173758-1-1.html
6. Firmware Upgrade intermittent problem.

Below are change log for Quad Core(1.0.4)
1. Improve WIFI stability
2. Fix AirPlay Mirroring issue
3. Long press HOME button to enter recent used apps and clean apps from memory
4. Fix double image when play back video
5. Nibiru improved UI
6. Improve launcher issue

can i connect external storage using usb 3 ?

Bought Q16 Quad from nicety few weeks back... i'm quite busy no time to write review until now, but i still want to share with those potential buyer who are still not made decision yet to buy from which seller, our TS here nicety is the right choice.

(1) Deliver is fast as promised, item reach me next day after my payment done, unfortunately i'm not around when poslaju guy come and delay 1 more day.

(2) Packing are nice, the item are brand new and the MAC address of the TV Box (device it self) are match with the MAC address on the Original product packing box. I mentioned this because some of the seller sell warranty claimed set to buyer and usually MAC address do not match with the box.

(3) After sales service & support are GREAT !!! Having problem with my own network setup and nicety help me to figure out remotely by using Team Viewer program to check both my TV Box & PC.
Just take note for those user who want to setup using Manual IP address, by default the box are configure as Auto IP configuration, pls make sure the Subnet are configure as 255.255.255.0 , not 255.255.255.255 because when 1st time switching from default Auto IP to Manual IP configuration, that Subnet column already automatic fill in with wrong Subnet which is 255.255.255.255 and you need to manually edit to 255.255.255.0 .For my case i didn't notice subnet are wrong because i can able to online until i find out i can't share my files within the same network from my PC hardisk.

(4) The product it self is great in quality and functionality, but yes there are some bug in firmware need to be fix and i believe it can be settle in future firmware.

TS nicety definitely know very well on product knowledge and trouble shutting... he know what he is selling unlike another 2 seller (C and M) which is selling similar product in lowyat forum but with very poor product knowledge and always give others 'official' link to user to find out how to solve the problem by self rclxub.gif

i m not user of q16... yet, but q5ii.

it is people like you, nicety and sicheh (another q5ii) user that have shown me the big world of androidtv esp china stuff! thumbup.gif

my experience says it is all about one's own effort to try and test, plus input from others who are willing to share and help that makes the device as productive as it should be. there is no other way as technology moves very quickly and users face the wrath of authorities, isp's and the physical well being of the internet.

one thing i find users - if things don't work well, too often and too quick, the fault falls on broadband speed, modem, router or the device. it is not obvious that the problem is often due to wrong settings, obsolete apps, wrong app versions, even bad cables!

i am more than willing to share with any himedia/android user as much as others have shared with me - in the right threads, of course. smile.gif

Android player is different from traditional media player, DVD or Blueray where the functions are static. Android Player is software driven, the functionality is dynamic and upgradable. Therefore sharing of information among the community is very important. Looking forward more buyers willing to sharing their experience and tested apps.

like to check with q16 quad 16gb users...

if u hv tried popcorn time, does 1080p movies work well?

becos smaller memory boxes can only play 720p, message says memory too small for 1080p.
