I think Chelsea fans generally don't have a problem with LFC fans....

but maybe in terms of Financial War... they would want to beat MC. 

I would say there was a rivalry between the two clubs but it was more of Rafa vs Jose than Liv vs Chelsea.

Right now though Rodgers definitely have a better relationship with Jose than Jose with Pellegrini.

If we try and go for 3 pts at Anfield the race will be much better and exciting for PL.. " Who can score more goals ! " race between City and Liverpool..hahaha

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will be handed £60m by the club’s board for a transfer splurge this summer on the back of a terrific season at Anfield, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Northern Irishman may yet lead the Reds to a first ever Premier League title, but it is thought that his securing of Champions League football for next term has prompted the Merseysiders’ hierarchy to give him added backing in the coming months.

Rodgers was likely to have significant funds in place for additions even if he missed out on a top four finish, but the added TV revenue and income from European action is set to swell his budget to £60m.

This could be further boosted by player sales, with some fringe stars set to be made available.

Rodgers is likely to be thrilled by the news, and may even be able to compete with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City for big name players this summer.

Liverpool’s owners are also set to hand their manager a new contract once the campaign ends to keep him in place as they aim to build a side capable of challenging at the top of the English game in the coming years.

Yevhen Konoplyanka is believed to be an immediate target for the club, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan – whom they missed out on last year – and Kyriakos Papadopoulos are other names on their radar, with Rodgers keen to attract a higher calibre of player after guaranteeing Champions League action.
