nuuuu don't want end so fast. i can't end fast also those sexy case a bit tight for my current budget. so i make and use cap ayam casing first

Somehow if you only use single layer of scotch tape, then the surface is smooth, not until slippery.
Then you can add another layer of tape that different like perforated etc.
This is just a poor man spacebar.
I will not get another hhkb keycaps set just for the white spacebar of hhkb, so, I'm still ok with the tape.

You should try it first if you like the scotch tape on the spacebar or not?
Or you can use transparent duct-tape which has woven surface better for grip.

Although I like the texture of the 3M matte surface tape,
I just can't stand sticking something on top of key(s)
It kinda feel like bandage on a wound,
but I don't mind mix using different colors of keys,
see my board there, the keys are varied in colors anyway

That's why is poor man spacebar as I claimed just now. Btw, I just accept the fact that topre whole keycaps set are pbt except the spacebar.

Really don't know will shiny or not. Haha. But can change the tape, so don't worry.
Topre already ceased production of their keycaps.
Maybe you glue the stem it on OEM pbt cherry switch spacebar.

The HHKB white is not really white. It's white beige, but lighter color than Filco white beige.

So, maybe we wait for topre-to-MX Cherry stem.

My original idea is to cut the stem from Topre spacebar and glue the stems on OEM PBT Cherry Spacebar with the cherry stem cut away......

I don't know about you guys, but after I tried flipping the spacebar around (like in that image), I'm never going back to the normal spacebar orientation. It just feels so much better.

same thing applies to all electronic.
general rule is to let your keyboard dry off completely before plugging it into your computer.

one effective way is to open up the keyboard to expose the PCB, (in most cases, opening the keyboard will void warranty, proceed at your own risk) as the "craziness" of a keyboard is most probably due to the water causing short between connectors on the PCB.
if you are lucky, the microcontroller isn't fried, thus drying the PCB will make your keyboard healthy again.

if you don't want to open up the keyboard, another way i can think of is to take off all the keycaps, and leave it under the fan or a hot area for drying things. leave it for drying for at least 1 day.

Option A:
1. Don't spill shit on your electronics.
2. There is no step 2.


Option B:
1. Remove keycaps.
2. Remove outer case. You spilled water, warranty gone anyways.
3. Buy rice. Uncooked rice from Tesco. I'm serious. Only buy from Tesco.
4. Put PCB in rice.
5. COMPULSORY STEP: Pray.
6. Wait one day.
7. See if rice is cooked. If yes, you forgot to unplug keyboard and you're screwed. Otherwise proceed to step 8.
8. Proceed here.
9. Plug keyboard back, test all the keys using key testing software. (http://www.otd.kr/bbs/board.php?bo_table=aikon_down&wr_id=50)
10. Proceed to OMGWTFBBQ plan if there are sticky keys.

Reverse-mount spacebar


Different people have different typing habits.
Normal mount, I tends to press on the sharp edges on bottom spacebar.
When in reverse mount, the sharp edges not there anymore. So, it's comfortable for me to press the spacebar.

try it yourself and find out how it feel,
i m trying it now, it is different, but I think I m liking it.

I will turning it back next week and compare,
then I will decide which way to go.
