QUOTE(ik3da @ Apr 21 2014, 04:17 PM) Whitening will be too hot for keycaps? If so, then I guess I will just go buy the polident ones instead. Bought wrongly, hahaha. What he meant was, don't use the denture tabs on hot water. The temperature of the water slightly warm. You can use the denture tab you bought, no need go and buy polident. |

QUOTE(Y.J.S @ Apr 20 2014, 06:38 PM) That's why you mentioned "trying".I heard php is fun. Maybe such programming do need a lot of typing. Enjoy your click, enjoy your programming. Btw, this was 1st generation of LYN keycaps, if you don't like, then wait for 2nd gen. ------------------------------------------------------ I checked back V1 thread. Saw something special from the LYN mechanical keyboard V1 1st page posted by Moogle Stiltzkin boss. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by quovadis123: Apr 22 2014, 01:03 AM |

QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ Apr 22 2014, 02:24 PM) It's more a general statement of my attitude towards keycaps now. Topre's Endgame Syndrome. No longer interest me much. Waiting for taihao to arrive, as well as the raindrop v2 set to arrive. Topre has killed/cured my keycap craze. You will get back your interest once the Topre-to-MX stem available. Once available, topre user can use other than OEM profile keycaps set. DCS, DSA, SA, Cherry profile. |

QUOTE(amirinz @ Apr 25 2014, 11:00 AM) Its more on luck, the only time i bought an old keyboard from taobao is my ibm model m, and it was fine. All keys working, cable in great condition, just the keycaps a lil dirty. But, Ive just found out that the previous owner changed the screws to nuts, and kinda made me wonder why? From the picture I posted, the Apple M0110 in the picture actually is modded version. If you like the look of it, why dont you go and take a gamble. Also the keyboard uses an apple proprietary interface, so you have to find an converter to use with modern computers. The modder replaced the controller with teensy, so the keyboard is using USB. |

QUOTE(ncys1 @ Apr 25 2014, 08:36 PM) Just bought a new Filco Majestouch 2 Ninja Brown switch at RM399. The big keys like the Shift, Backspace, Enter and three big keys at Numlock sort of rattle when I lightly tap them (not press, lightly tap). Is it normal? Yup, very normal.Anyway, don't know if it's the right place, but does anybody here know where to get keyboard trays? Long big keys like spacebar, enter, left shift, right shift, and spacebar do have rattle sound or movement. This is because underneath those long big keys use costar stabilizers to hook the long big keys. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « These are hooked into small plastic inserts that are attached to the keycap on one side, and the base of the keyboard on the other. What they do is distribute the force evenly across the key cap in the event that only one side is pressed down. What you are hearing is those little wires rattling back and forth, since they need freedom to move as the key is depressed. edit: the 3 big keys(0, enter, +) on numpad do have costar stabilizers too.
