QUOTE(General Fahmy @ Oct 17 2014, 12:57 PM)
Then how do you forget and let go.

You're telling me that you are 100% forgive. You mean to say, nobody close to you has ever disappointed you before?

Once bitten twice shy. So when you know the person's personality is like that, why go on to know that person?

You want to be disappointed again?

And how far can you take forgiveness. You write about the Wallah issues and stuff like that. If you can let go, then forget about it, why voice these things out in first place, they not under our control.
*
Matthew 18: 21 Then Peter came and said to Him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" 22Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. 23"For this reason the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his slaves.…

I remember some commentary wrote that Jesus meant unlimited times. This is bible standard sweat.gif It is tough but this is what we should strife for lo

There is a difference between anger (bad) vs righteous anger (good). anger (bad) is you feel angry when someone mistreated , hurt or harm you. This anger is actually still 'ok' because it is a feeling itself but how we responded to this anger is what makes us wrong. When we hurt other people back (counter-attack), we are wrong. This is called retaliation. Other bad response is unforgiveness, bad attitude, evil thoughts to the person who harm/hurt us.

Eph 4: 26 “In your anger do not sin”[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.

If we responded angry by suppressing it, also no good because it can leads to bitterness.

While righteous anger (good) is you feel angry when someone (other innocent) get mistreated , hurt or harmed.

Something i learned la... icon_rolleyes.gif

Change in what way? For example?
This is not RWI.

What is the point you being angry about it?

Is that going to change anything?

What's RWI? biggrin.gif

Oh. In RWI, this is the kind of replies that people give.

Are you going to call them stress up?

As Christians, should we be less sensitive about errors?
*
KJV 100% error free?

I used to be a treasurer at church.

I can tell you, the controls there are really bad.

There is no higher authority to sign the payment vouchers. Ministries all get easy disbursements just like that.

But I don't blame the church, they are not finance people so they never think of these things.

I have raised these before, but again I kena shot down for questioning authority.

takut apa? Thats why I am so unpopular at church because I spoke out

Also after that I notice I am not asked to help out in ministry anymore.

Unless I participate in those mainstream ones.
*
Since you dislike that church so much but you still go there at the same time? hmm.gif

All these years, exploring many different church, unable to find one which is 'good'?

Nothing positive seen in the church so far?

GOD's do not need hero. He needs you to focus on your part.

Yeah I agree. We just need to do our part, continue to do what is right. This is because we can't control others. The more the expect from others, the more frustration we will get. We can wish that things can improve or change to be better but when we EXPECT, then frustration easily come in. Sometimes by doing our part and setting the good example, people around will be inspired and thus imitate your example.

Just like the Michael Jackson's famous song, Man in the Mirror. biggrin.gif

Not the whole church is bad la.

That is why I still attend cg.

Just some cross section.

And i have no beef with the lead pastor. He is ok fella.

Just that I got into loggerheads with the youths.

Maybe good to reflect and try to list down 3 good/positive things you observed in the church or cell group or the pastor nod.gif

1. ?
2. ?
3. ?

Hahaha, quite cute the story  laugh.gif .

Errr, personally I think even the CG leader not quite ready to be leader. But my standard high lah
As in all the duties of CG leader
- share the word, as in having Bible study/discussion session.
- Praise & Worship - Song lead - this one can rotate between the members
- Icebreaker - games - can rotate with members
- Prayer- pray for one another or church or Msia, whatever topic
- Counselling members
- Visitation - visit members who absent quite some time from church or CG.

CG leader full time church staff? Otherwise, need 'superman' CG leader to do everything. I think effective leader should focus on the main thing and to delegate and not do everything. Teamwork ma.

Of course not leader do everything, Main thing is sharing the word. This can share with assistant if assistant matured enough. Same with visitation.  Other duties can rotate with cell members

Our CG, we plan every quarterly and during this planning day, we also try to delegate all the roles and responsibilities. In this way, group will know the plan in advance for the next quarter. So far, we have been doing that and it helps.

QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Oct 19 2014, 06:56 PM)
That's another misconception, you cannot bear Jesus's burden. No one can.
God the Father sent Him alone to bear the burdens of the world.

Our part is to be sensitive to God's leading or you can say to "hear" his voice, with regards to our lives and those surrounding us.

But to do that you have to constantly spend time with Him and consistent + prolong relationship with God, actually produces peace and joy in your life.

Actually if you think about what Jesus says,

You're suppose to live a life of Peace and Joy more than gritting your teeth trying to go through trials.

Let me share one revelation of the God's word about trials.
In Matthew 6, this is the modal Prayer that Jesus taught.
“ ‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation,a
but deliver us from the evil one.b ’
I know trials and tribulation is suppose to strengthen our character, some people say, more trials and tribulations, the better and is the norm for Christians.
But what did Jesus taught us to pray about Trials and Tribulations?

The Word there in verse 13, temptation, in the Greek, peirasmos is the same meaning for trials or Tribulations.

If Jesus taught us to pray like this, that God would lead us NOT into testing, I rather go with that. Why?

You can do a lot more things when you're at peace.

Hope this helps you. God Bless.
*
yeah we don't have to pray to have more testing and trials although testing and trials will be there biggrin.gif - John 16:33

New International Version
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

New Living Translation
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."

English Standard Version
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
