Recently, PR also being rejected easily.
I guess they are trying to limit the quota of foreigners obtaining PR...hmm

we have someone in this forum started off with s$2200/month (S Pass) armed with an STPM cert, working for a company that is rank top 50 on Fortune list. Hello guys, recently just got a new job in SG as poly fresh grads. Currently still staying in JB and travel daily. Just have a simple question, what's the fastest way to travel to Tanjong Pagar?

Currently I'm CIQ > CW1 to Kranji > MRT to Tanjong Pagar.

Thinking to try CW2 to bugis but worrying it will be jam during the journey. Will find a room soon in SG anyway.
*
think driving is the fastest way, follow closely by bike. Tg Pagar is a long way from Woodlands.

Hello! can someone suggest me a way to move my stuff to Singapore? I have a lot of luggage. Maybe by KTMB train? Or transport my stuff all the way to Singapore with a car? (the better the cheaper) laugh.gif

from where ? if in KL can contact our vigilante Lester1987. He helped some forumers before. Just maybe share petrol and buy him dinner will do. A friendly guy. I think car is the easiest way. Anything to declare ?

hey all, I'm fresh graduate engineer with degree holder. I am currently looking for a job in sg. May I know how much expected salary should I fill in the CV? Thanks in advance smile.gif

Really depends on what company you applying in. What kinda engineer are you ? chemical engineer most likely will get a higher pay compares to like, mechanical engineer.

unless you are getting a good salary or received some valuable trainings, bonding is really a bad thing.

Nothing wrong with that, perfectly normal. In fact that's what the MOM is asking the employers to do.

Hi all, some advice about the most ideal driving time from JB thru Woodlands?  If my work place is near Woodlands what would be the most ideal time I should be at the checkpoint to avoid getting massively stuck in traffic? Pls dont mentioned 4am or so.
Appreciate any experience sharing. Tks.
Do they have special lanes for MPV also as I heard?
*
you think 4am is a joke ? There are hundred of thousands of ppl travel in and out during the peak hour daily. Things are pretty bad now, in fact the worst jam ever witness and things are not improving biggrin.gif . The best time to cross the causeway into Sg is before 6am.

Why should they have special lane for mpv ?

Hey guys I have been sending resume to companies in Singapore but no reply even to an interview so far. I was wondering if the period of notification is the problem as my company needs 3 months period of notification. What are your views? I'm in engineering field, but not in building services, more to heavy machineries. Should I send in letter, so that I can put my availability as an exact date?
*
i think no company would keep a post 3 months just for you. Your odds or landing a job with such condition is almost 0%, unless they badly need you for your 'rare' set of skill or qualification in which they can't find elsewhere.
If not, good luck.

Any particular area or block I should look into? Just want to have a better idea before I head down to Singapore to enlist the help of an agent. Currently looking in Jurong, clementi, chinese garden area..

Edit ./ I am not looking for property agents. Don't pm please.
*
No property agent ? Good luck with that, especially with $2k budget.
