:/ Tough luck then buddy =, i was doin White and Blue... but too look for White hardware is  hard... i manage to keep all CM.. and fix to use mid-teir CPU cooler(i dare to say is low teir..) V6 GTS(white edition)(temp idle 35-40C Load temp 70C-78C 4.2Ghz OC) as my case also white  but LED is blue.. my mobo more strange... black and RED theme BUT LED is BLUE! WTF.. so got to add blue led lucky CPu cooler changeable color.. and Case fan too(jetflo by CM)  now with help R9 290x Vaporx got nice Blue center...  but second Gpu is TriX so.. got yellow as tail lolx

i was intel fanboy since the AMD reign kings in 2005 but now i 2 frus with every new gen intel come out with improvement only 10% argh

:/ i... to be truth all truth i am supporting End User   we all need Intel/Amd/Nvidia Company to do well, if one of the company gone...  we probably paying  Premium for Rig hardware... e.g. Haswell-E Mobo/DDR4/CPU Price.. eh woo  and look at Nvidia GTX 970/980 Good price/Performance (thx to AMD i say lol with their competitive price before)

My r9 290 just came back from RMA have not tested it, will my black screen problem still reoccur any experience with other users here?  Could sapphire update the hardware to counter the issue?

i agree, it will be a nightmare if we lose some good company in pc world especially AMD.
but amd looking good for me right now, it just their CPU team aint having enough juice for R&D.
i thinks its better for u to test it first before rambling about something u not sure of.

  have you tested the GPU return from RMA ?  and if you asking ppl opinion that what "hitman47 " done he give you his opinion on open threads  and more detail on your Black Screen" also help (what Driver you using/Mobo type/what window using/ Bios mobo/ win give any error msg?)

Just tested no black screen at the moment, just want to know other r9 290 users experience after receiving their rma'ed card wether problem reoccur or not thats all, and i aint rambling im just asking politely

Black screen like how? No boot up screen when turn on? If like that then its a DOA card. Mine happened to be the hdmi port is not working while the dvi is working ok  . That happens on the powercolor 280X model.

If you swap the card for a new one then it should be ok.
