That's strange my father using HTC one can use 4G, mines can't still stuck at H+ force 4G no signal

BTW, my previous device is Nexus 4.

Try reset carrier settings, not working sad.gif

Try key in new settings, still stuck at H+

Mines is D821 Model bought from 7mobile

should I go back to the shop and test it on spot with another nexus 5? since i just bought it yesterday.

UPDATE: Mines and my father is using Maxis Telco

You probably need to change to a 4G sim. I had to that while I was using HTC One before.

Every kernel is good in its own way. I am using Faux 0.16 smile.gif

Yeah but not every kernel is suitable for every phone. Mine had problem with Franco kernel and earlier version of ElementalX, after 0.34 is suitable working for my phone.

Since your father's one no problem with Maxis LTE, try swap his SIM to your phone and test. If confirm your SIM problem then only go Maxis center. Do note that your plan must fit requirement of Maxis 4G LTE ( I remembered 1GB data and above etc )

assuming your SIM card and LTE coverage is OK...

yes, there is a setting:

Settings > Wireless & Networks: More... > Mobile Network > Preferred Network Type > LTE

wait for some time to allow the phone to "latch" onto LTE network. if no difference, shutdown and restart the phone. It'll search & latch LTE if found.

if all other failed, then could be issue with SIM or LTE service/coverage.

I have the similar issue with my DiGi LTE as well...LTE can only be detected during 'LTE Only' mode...

Maxis has been using new sim cards which is compatible with 4g for awhile. So sometimes is only settings problem and once activated, you can use 4g without changing the sim. Some need to change sim card cause their sim is still using old sim which don't support 4g.

So, try swapping your dad's sim to your phone and check whether is it working or not.

if your sim is LTE-ready, you're on LTE coverage and your phone enabled LTE (highest priority), then it will work.

if you're outside of LTE coverage, the phone will auto-switch to 3G (2nd priority).

so, to play safe, just enable LTE on the phone smile.gif

Drain battery 9 9 tongue.gif For normal web surfing, I just use 3G. Only when need to watch youtube ( which I rarely do over phone as data quota drain kuat kuat ) enable 4G.
Maxis 3G still pretty fast than I had no issue surf net on it.
