Once you go nexus, it's difficult to go back. Been poisoned since Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4 and now Nexus 5. All 4 nexuses I had similar complaint, mediocre camera and average battery life, but the speeeeeeeeeed just so damn good sometime I just have fun scroll and scroll and scroll through home screen for no reason.

QUOTE(man3 @ Apr 15 2014, 10:29 AM) I think its N5 user habit to scrolling without any reason...to enjoy the smoothness of the phone...just now my fren wif S5 complaint about the "lag" of S5...he play wif my N5 n go compare wif S5...he notice the different in the speed...haha WTF to Samsung, I thought it should be smooth enough now with powerful processor ![]() QUOTE(NightFelix @ Apr 15 2014, 10:32 AM) I like to scroll my Home Screen and Drawer for no reason in my Nexus 4 too. Is just so Fluid and Snappy. On my N4, I really love to swipe as fast as humanly possible and watch how close it catch up. Cant do that in N5, as my humanly possible speed is slower than KK.![]() |

QUOTE(djlah @ Apr 15 2014, 11:37 AM) samsung always just non-stop keep adding more features and much more features until occupied a lot of storage. and when that 'extra' features is not useful, is called bloatware. why don't samsung put more time or effort on optimizing the speed and smoothness... adding powerful hardware only are not enough. Should learn from HTC, recently saw comparison video between apps launching speed between One M8 and N5, surprise surprise it's same. |

QUOTE(chris0709 @ Apr 15 2014, 02:40 PM) I have try charging led, light manager but there is not indicator light show while charging. or should i root my phone to make use of this feature? By default doesnt have, so you had to enable new notification for 'charging battery' and configure how you want to display notification. I had Full charged notification that blind fast and vibrate, so I'll know and disconnect it. |

So much discussion
My opinion. S4/S5 : SUV loaded with body kit, neon light, spotlight, 12" TV, massage chair, shower curtain etc. It's certainly able to do alot that different people like, but unable to perform core function ( drive/ride ) well. Nexus : Satria Neo S2000. No aircond, no infotainment system, no speaker etc. It's just concentrate on core function ( drive fast ). Instead of buy loaded SUV and strip away things you dont like, I rather buy S2000 and add in functions I need. Nexus/stock android comes with core functions, many people wont like it as it lack many convenient things. It's extremely difficult for manufacturers to predict which features/functions needed and more important. I think Samsung are smart to include everything you need and dont need, and public like it as there will be certain functions you specifically needed. It's not easy for manufacturers to produce perfect ( in fact it's impossible to suit everyone ), but I believe if they able to produce phone with few but great features, people might appreciate, as what I saw on HTC One M8. |

QUOTE(xxdesire @ Apr 18 2014, 02:55 PM) Batch version not important from what I've seen so far. 2-3 hours SOT. If go out, with data on, even just for 4square and whatapps, greenify almost everything, it wont last whole day.The FAQ at first page is enough to check. If you know how to go to bl, then check info at bootloader also Check your vibrations. Speakers. Go test 99 to make sure all functions/hardware working properly Usually I go out, I don't play game, use fb, browsing, no music, sync once every 2-3 hours to check if got emails. |

My n5 even at home connect to WiFi, with every light whatsapp, could only get 11 - 12 hours standby. Yes culprit is s2w/s2s, but with that disabled, 3G data standby still can't last one day going out.
Sometimes I will carry my power bank out even just yum cha, see how paranoid i am. |
