Brand wise, i believe there are many.

It goes back to what budget you have for raw or raw and selvedge denims.

Local brands are a great place to start. You can check the first post of local shops carrying those denims. Getting to try them and talk to the owners getting their feedback is awesome. At least you know what you are getting when you're buying them.

Happy hunting and update your purchase here soon!

Hi guys...... Anyone of you guys here have experience with Uniqlo selvedge denims before? Mind share some thoughts? Tqtq
*
For the price (im assuming its rm150) is a good bargain.

Sure its lightweight and made in china or bangladesh, you're getting the denim from kaihara mills in Japan.

If its your first foray into raw and selvedge denim on a tight budget, go ahead and try them.

People forget its not about having that self edge or selvedge that makes the jeans.

Its the material itself is more important.

So if you see jeans with selvedge, it doesnt mean that the quality is guaranteed. Some of these design labels are jumping the bandwagon to make a quick profit.

So save your money to buy from those brands that specialised is raw and selvedge denims. Its worthwhile.

hehe...all poison king.

but takut my leg will start sweating and cause the jean smelly in the long run. and somemore we cant always wash this raw jean.
any method or trick to handle this ?
*
Dont be overly obsessed in not washing your jeans. If its unbearable, just wash it.

Your jeans is who you are, whatever marks and creases it creates is because you yourself wore it.

Enjoy the ride. icon_rolleyes.gif

If you're looking into heavy ounce denim, red clouds are an option to consider after iron heart or naked and famous to name a few.

hello fellow denimheads! just bought a new pair of Nudie Thin Finn Dry Ecru Embo..having a hard time deciding between cuffing or stacking ...any suggestions how to choose between ?
*
It's up to the eye of the beholder.

I personally like cuffing rather then letting it stack or hemmed.

QUOTE(Alex_T @ Feb 27 2015, 05:22 PM)
Do I need to upsize when buying Uniqlo selvedge jeans? scared it would shrink after washing.
*
no need. Best bet is to buy True To Size (TTS). most selvedge & raw denims out there are sanforized (if you are unsure about this, you can google it).

If you are adventures, buy one size smaller. But don't blame me if you don't like it. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi guys, how do we find out if the denim is an unwashed or one-washed version other than being told by the shop or merchant website.

Because I have received a Fullcount 1108xx as a gift but there is no label indicating if it is unwashed or one-washed version.

Thanks in advance!
*
Finding out the details online would be a great place to start.

Can I wait a bit further?I heard a method which is keep the smelly jeans in the freezer to eliminates the odor and kills the bacteria.Reason why i dont want to wash to qyick is becaudr scare fading not nice when washed.
I'm wearing raw nudie tube tom
*
I understand that getting those sick fades are all the rage. but one thing most people forget, your jeans are like your diary from the day you wear them.

so what if you don't have the fades that you see on the internet? No other jeans in this world will ever go through what you have with yours.

now that's something personal. so when you have to wash it, make it memorable. I've seen marking the dates in your pocket to mark the dates your jeans were washed. you can even go further ahead and make an album in your FB to mark the occasion (even comparing it before and after wash for instance).

whatever it is, don't be to worried about not getting sick fades or whatnot. as long as your denim reflects you on your journey, that'll be something to cherish about. thumbup.gif

Cheers mate how do you washed your jeans?
dry cleaning?
*
some of the guys I've talked to just used their washing machine.

Since I don't know how to use washing machine, I just soak them in detergent water for a while, and dry them straight.

One thing about how I wash it, I never twist my denim to rid off the excess water!. don't want additional creases formed when the jeans are drying up.

I air dry them by the way.

Anyone owned Samurai S0510xx? My denim already arrive but sadly no arc & red tab. This my second lightweight denim beside flathead.

user posted image

By the way mine from Lot 11.

I think because it's from US (BiG), so no arc and red tab since the levi's copyright in US. But last year i did buy from them the S510xx21oz, come with arc and tab.
*
Nice haul. Did you checked inside the backpocket?

Read that some of those brand defy/troll those levis copyrights by bending the rules and place them hidden.

thanks for the info share!

Just to share, I went to Levi's KLCC new outlet. Was really impressed of the LVCs brought in.

the LVCs were from the 40's to 70's. each having their own distinct identities of their years. Even saw a 501Z = 501 with a zipper fly!

I also chatted with the sales person there. He mention this guy, Yosuke, was in store. After googling who is this guy, apparently he is some famous Levi's super fan.

anyone else been to the new Levi's store in KLCC?
