I just bought a used copy of Diablo 3 from a forumer and after running the installation, battle.net start dl the game into my pc. This is probably due to the version in cd is older so no problems there. When the dl reached 'Playable', i excitedly run the game n key in my login name n password. OMG. it gives me account suspended (Code 53) msg. I went to battlenet forum to chk n seems some players who updated their game also received same msg. So I sent a ticket to support. Now my question is

1) The info blizzard ask to provide, do I provide mine or need the forumer info?
2) I dont quite understand what are the doc needed to submit. can anyone with experience tell me?
3) Will this put me into 'yellow card' status?

Appreciate any info regarding this matter. tq

they will ask secret question/ first and last name. I assume previous owner already reset it/ or tell you the details. hopefully you not bought botter account

different user uses different machine
the reason they suspended you is to avoid account hack
the info blizzard ask is the info from the account profile as created by the forumer

last time i bought, i need to fill out a form and photocopy ic from both party in order to exchange.

If its first n last name, prev owner did gave me. but wat i received frm blizzard is asking me to fill in a verification form n submit some doc to prove ownership etc like tat. after reading the 1st thread here, i kinda worry i will be put into 'observation' list.

n no ... i didnt bought it for bot purpose. i am just only want start my diablo 3 experience. thats y kinda when didnt go well ...

o ... so now what do i need to do exactly? i submitted a ticket which to 'appeal' my account to be re-activated so kinda worry i will be in their blacklisted.

shld i email them to inform that i bought this account from someone else n request they change?

Nonono, what Sabenarian means is the account you bought is previously used by the ex-owner for botting; and got caught; banned; so he/she sell off the account..

Hopefully it's not

I am very sorry to inform you that , blizzard does not support account trading in anyway .
They are unlikely to assist you with anything once you told them you " bought " your account from someone else .

It is against the blizzard policy to trade account individually .

Buying an account from another forum guy is never safe anyway . You might as well be off to get another completely new copy of the game .

whats done is done. so far the forumer is being cooperative enough. i also msg him regarding the problem. hope he willing help if really need his info to verify with blizzard.

U should "tipu" blizzard a bit, said you account suddenly have problem w/o mentioning u bought this account form fren. Actually original owner should know this by resetting e-mail to your email, clear autheticator, changing secret question etc..

1) prev owner did reset to my own email but password remains same.
2) there's no authenticator yet so probably he cleared it too
3) secret q ma ... i not sure

when i submit my ticket i didnt mention i bought from other user. i just wrote i install from cd, dl til playable n run then got the msg.

also need to change phone no. to yours.. D3 will pop-up secret question if it detect something unusual like u login on different PC..

I mayself login on multiple PCs for my account, home pc (2), laptop, Office PC.. no problem as long as i know the secret question.

i can access battlenet account management ... so i can change all that myself?

If you bought the game from forummer, this means the said CD key already used to create / attached to a Battlenet account.

If blizzard asking for identification documents, you need to provide the ID that matched the previously registered information. E.g. If Mr. A created the battlenet account using his name and so on, you make sure Mr. A sent in his IC and not yours as this will led to permanent ban during buying / selling accounts which is prohibited by Blizzard.

My advice to us is ask the seller to do the necessary to unlock before sending it back to you or he willingly to scan his IC and driving license to you. Or you have all the rights to ask for refund. You bought items that cant be used.

Like I mention above, u can use different PCs to login to D3. I suggest u to enable authenticator for your account.


btw, may I know why u bought this used account? cheaper (new one also damn cheap now), high Paragon account or lot of gold inside it?

cause i cant find new at my area. going kl wld make cost higher. not comfortable with buying online n some site also no more diablo 3. buying frm blizzard? well, i thought with cd, i wouldnt have to dl anymore as i have 1mb line only. mana tao ...

actually i want to play single player only. not really interested in multiplayer. no time

you can buy key from blizzard to create b.net account..then copy installation folder form fren.. just need download small update time to time..
