I want to apply for Streamyx. I do not have a fixed line or anything currently. Ive heard about the 4mps...& what is the Streamyx Combo package about?

how to check my line can support 4mb anot?
i plan to upgrade 1mb to 4mb because share the internet with 3 pc.
i worry after i upgrade,and then my line cannot support 4mb.
then that is useless for upgrade.

4Mbps & 2Mbps is subject to distance limitation of maximum of 3km from exchange and technical testing during installation.

just call 100 and give your phone number to them to check.

Setup Cost - Free (Including Streamyx Hotspot's equiqment, eg: Access Point)
Monthly Charges - Free (No monthly Streamyx Bill)
Contract - 24 months (Can extand)

1. Normal business model - Free to the premise owner but their customer have to pay for the service.
2. Type of Establishment - Hotels (Lobby, Cafe, Coffee House & Ball Room), F&B, IPT's (Universities & Colleges), Waiting Area, Shopping Mall, Airports & etc.
3. Public places with sitting area - No restriction for anyone to come over.
4. Appropriate place to be associate with TM - Anything that can tarnish TM brand image is not allowed (No Bar or Casino)
5. Strategic Location - High traffic with right crowd (PDA/Laptop users who requires mobility).
6. Safe place to put up Streamyx Hotspot's equipment, not outdoor location for example football field, recreational park.
7. Ptetial sites must be Streamyx coverage area - (Only ADSL & SDSL is permited. No leased line will be given)
8. Must turn on equipment 24/7 at least during business operating hours.
9. Must put up Streamyx A&P materials. (Advertisement and Promotion)
10. Prepaid card are optional but to advise premise owner to pre-purchase so that their customer can buy without any hassle.
11. Only maximum of 3AP's (Access Point) for 1 establishment - 1 Streamyx line for 1 outlet thus 1 Streamyx line for a maximum of 3 AP's but TM has the final say on determining how many AP's needed.
12. Potential premise owner does not have to pay anything except for minimal electricity bill (maybe RM7~RM9/month). But their customer need to pay for the service.
13. Potentialpremise owner can opt for Local ID which they can puchase on behalf of their customer, so that they cagive free ID to their customer. Minimum ID is 10 ID (1ID = RM28)

FYI, we can go forPublic places only whereby there's no restriction for the public to come to their premise. The concept is just like normal wireless. 1 Streamyx to our access controller (for authentication). Access controller to AP (Access Point). For our business model, we give free to the premise. But teir customer need to buy the Login ID either purchase the hotspot prepaid or hotspot postpaid.

My friend moved out, and he just cut the phone line and streamyx 2 weeks ago. After that i was call an agent and want to register fixed line and streamyx, but the agent say the port is full. Oh my god!!!, my apartment just cut off the line, isn't the port should be available???!!!

Can anyone or streamyx agent explain to me??
Or any agent please call me, i want to register the fixed line and streamyx asap, i dont want to wait few month again.....!!! ( i have the experience before have to wait fixed line for 4-5month!!!)

I subscribe to Streamyx + HP laptop over a year ago and it will end on March 2009.
Currently paying monthly bill of RM141.08 per month through Maybank Credit Card plan.
I'm planning to change my current plan and subscribe the Home Hop Away Plan (Streamyx + Celcom Basic broadband) which charge their subscriber RM108 per month.

Anyone can help me with this quest please feel free to PM me. Also, is it possible to get all this done before Raya holiday?
