AFAIK Ghub has to be kept installed for arbitrary DPI values to be set - otherwise it'll always be rounded to the closest default values (400, 800, 1600, 3200). Yes, stupid I know. I'm unsure if they've improved on this area or not, because I'm still using the the old LGS which is a rock solid piece of software.

Mouse is always about whether it fit your hands.
Having the best world class sensor, buttons and materials but the shape doesn't fit your hands, it's completely useless.
Therefore, make sure you feel comfortable with it.

A cheap mouse can also get you plenty of headshots if it fits your hands perfectly, or become a 5K player if you have the skills.

good point. guess it's trial and error then :/

also considering steel series sensei 310, and razer deathadder which i've used before. i had multi-click problems with the razer mouse, wasnt sure if it was software or hardware problem, but it was too much of a hassle to fix.

Usually you can more or less tell from experience if shape of the mouse fits your hands comfortably.
Otherwise, just head to PC shops and try out some demo units. That's what I'd like to do.

Yeah, Razer have weird issues sometimes and in the past, their quality are really bad. I suppose these days are a little better. Ever since I started using back Razer products last year, they seem to be OK.

I have the Huntsman linear optical, it's very smooth and fun to use, definitely a good gaming keyboard.
Compared to those custom mechanical keyboard that I have, it's still Razer that fits perfectly to gaming with fast response. Those custom ones are only about sound, most of their switches are not as smooth as Razer's.

Except, Razer keyboards are not cheap biggrin.gif

yeah same sentiment.

u saw the v2? heard its pretty good. also expecting asus to be challenging this space where logi/corsair/razer been dominant for long time. falchion really good. what irratates me is the font. the farking W looks like inverted M fir example.

mouse atm razer lineup is just nuts. its like catering to every price point, grip, weight, game genre, freaking color..

I haven't really seen the V2 in real life but I'm sure it will carry the same Razer product features which we can be sure it'll fit gaming nicely.
I think other brands are also catching up, some of their stuffs looks very nicely designed.

Razer mouse pads can even customize the color/design if we buy from their website.

Razer now a days ain't bad.

Viper Ultimate and Basilisk Ultimate has good build quality indeed, so good that it's actually weird to see something of such high quality from Razer. In fact I feel that the Viper Ultimate actually is built better than the GPW.

You must have gotten the V1 optical switches which were known to be "mushy" and scratchy. Razer updated them to the V2 which has a slightly lower g/f, lower tolerance for pre/post travel actuation point, and increased spring back force. They also improved consistency in QC for their v2 optical switches.

Any batch model after #2050 (year 2020, week 50 build) is guaranteed to have a v2 optical switch. All DeathAdder v2 Pro and Basilisk Ultimate also has the v2 optical switch. Razer are now working on their v3 optical switch, which presumably should release with the long-requested Viper Mini Ultimate.

Logitech GPW stock omron 50m switches (D2FCF-K) are just passable. Nothing great. Reliability wise they're either prone to double clicking issues or they're not, so it's a 50/50 thing on that. But in terms of feel, they're no where near as good as the similarly tensioned Kailh GM8.0, which offers much better spring back feel, lower pre/post travel (buttons are snappy), and because of much better QC means the likelihood of double clicks should be lower. Basically switching to GM8.0 makes the GPW the perfect mouse. Stock switches are whatever.
