I always get confused by the battery life of those Logitech gaming mice. I know the G Pro Wireless is stated to have 48 hours with RGB, 60 hours without. But that 48 hours is the duration of constant gaming with RGB on right?
I hardly game so I just want to know the actual realistic battery life with RGB on with the following criteria?
- Normal web browsing/etc (Usage: 6 hours from Monday to Thursday, 2-3 hours Friday to Saturdays, 7-9 hours Sundays)
- 2-3 hours of gaming per week (I hardly game)
- Constant RGB Lighting (if there's no option to set the RGB lighting on certain hours or to turn it off when the mouse is idle)
- Low DPI (1000 DPI)
Hoping for a 4-5 days battery life with my usage above
Questions1) Does the lighting go off when the mouse is not in use? Can you programme it to only light up during certain hours?
2) I watched hardwarecanucks's video below and he said the mouse goes to sleep when not in use, he only lost 1% of battery life overnight? Is this true for all logitech gaming wireless mice like the G403 wireless, G703 and the G903?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWyt2ZALhOs1) Yes.
2) This is only true for Logitech mices that use the Hero sensor. The Hero sensor is the one that contributes to the amazing power efficiency.
You also have to understand that not all batteries are made the same. I can tell you that Logitech sources from more than one Li-on battery makers, so there are some degree of variances which is why you read online all the time that battery usage drain can be different from one user to another despite having similar usage patterns (this pretty much applies to
ALL battery powered devices these days).
As for subjective opinion, cannot answer you about the GPWL battery life now - will have to wait till next week to receive the mouse.
