This?

That's the "new" GPro Wired with Hero sensor. The current GPro wired is using PMW3366 sensor. It's a whole different mouse to the GPro wireless. It's up to you if you like soap bar shapes or not.

It's not really new because all Logitech did was changed the sensor.

Thought of getting the G304 for RM200 or so but then I noticed the G903 goes for RM4xx.

How's the battery life with RGB on 24/7 but not gaming? I don't game much, just normal browsing. The G903 is too sexy to ignore.

Lazada called me twice to confirm if I still want the mouse because it'll only be released on the 24th of Sept. I'm like... Err no shit, sherlock?

Anyways, there has been a recent rise in controversy due to the design flaw that the GPW has - the L&R button shells rubbing against one another if you push it towards each other in a certain way. The affected units are, well... hard to confirm at this point but it is what it is. Logitech has confirmed that they have "fixed" the issue with the latest batches, so here's hoping the batch releasing in Malaysia at much later date than the west is unaffected.

Good thing about Logitech in Msia is that they 1 to 1 exchange, no dilly dally bs here and there.

Like every hyped up product, any negativity is ALWAYS blown out of proportion.

I always get confused by the battery life of those Logitech gaming mice. I know the G Pro Wireless is stated to have 48 hours with RGB, 60 hours without. But that 48 hours is the duration of constant gaming with RGB on right?

I hardly game so I just want to know the actual realistic battery life with RGB on with the following criteria?

- Normal web browsing/etc (Usage: 6 hours from Monday to Thursday, 2-3 hours Friday to Saturdays, 7-9 hours Sundays)
- 2-3 hours of gaming per week (I hardly game)
- Constant RGB Lighting (if there's no option to set the RGB lighting on certain hours or to turn it off when the mouse is idle)
- Low DPI (1000 DPI)

Hoping for a 4-5 days battery life with my usage above smile.gif
Questions
1) Does the lighting go off when the mouse is not in use? Can you programme it to only light up during certain hours?
2) I watched hardwarecanucks's video below and he said the mouse goes to sleep when not in use, he only lost 1% of battery life overnight? Is this true for all logitech gaming wireless mice like the G403 wireless, G703 and the G903?

1) Yes.

2) This is only true for Logitech mices that use the Hero sensor. The Hero sensor is the one that contributes to the amazing power efficiency.

You also have to understand that not all batteries are made the same. I can tell you that Logitech sources from more than one Li-on battery makers, so there are some degree of variances which is why you read online all the time that battery usage drain can be different from one user to another despite having similar usage patterns (this pretty much applies to ALL battery powered devices these days).

As for subjective opinion, cannot answer you about the GPWL battery life now - will have to wait till next week to receive the mouse.

g305 (or g304) is pretty damn amazing. i am using it for almost 2 weeks now. the tracking is spot on and the super lightweight pretty much made me into a believer of a lightweight mouse (previously used g502 and g5). there are only 2 complaints, lift off distance cannot be tuned and there are no white version being sold officially in malaysia.

furthermore, it is almost identical design with the G Pro, so you are essentially getting the G Pro with discounted price minus the cable.

Gpro's cable is absolute trash though. No mouse bungee in any position can fix it.

The G903 is sexy as hell but the mouse is too big for my hand. Hoping for a G903 successor with a Hero sensor then.

I thought of getting the G Pro Wireless but the design is too plain for me and not to mention its like RM600.

Just pulled the trigger on the Logitech G304 and can't wait to receive it this week rclxm9.gif

Yup just got auto refunded. Apparently the shipment delayed to 8th of October. They didn't call or anything either.

I just received the G304/305 few days ago and I'm not really liking it.

The 304 design although suits the size of my hand better is less comfortable than the G602. The convex shape of the left and right side of the mouse is weird (curving outwards as opposed to inwards) and I realized I am pampered by the thumb rest area of the G602. Also, the G602's curvature (G304 is much more flat)allows me to palm grip the mouse more (and rest my hand on the mouse more) whereas I have to fingertip/claw grip the G304 instead.

The clicks are really stiff and loud and I don't like the material of the surface.

Might return this and go for the G Pro Wireless or the G903.

I guess the GPWL won't be coming to Malaysia after all. Reason being that Logitech is planning to announce an official recall of all GPWL that aren't sold yet. Those that already got their units will get a replacement or a refund.

They have not officially announced it, but I'm reading several reports from OCN and reddit that Logitech service reps are telling them that.
