vineger eels & microwowm(white color) like chicken floss tat tiny.. both of this not that good at early stage cause those worm will sink down..fries would not eat food which had already sink down..compare to daphnia & bbs both of them can swim so is better..last time ppl even went hunt those daphia themself at those green water..haha

hmm..i still got 2 bottle of bbs..i wonder how does the hatch rate now..i go try see..

I'm curious tho.. fighting fish horr... if they cant be put together how do they breed?

daphnia is called "sui qi"(cantonese)....i have tried asking around 5 years ago and only found 1 guy who actually trespasses IndahWater pond to catch daphnia...that guy's shop cum house is located in Sungei Way in the depths of SS1....apparently a few years back, a fellow betta enthusiast told me that he opened(moved) a shop near Bintang supermarket...so i m not so sure...have to wait for current betta breeders to tell u where u can get daphnia.

In a nutshell, males will attack the females or vice versa in the mating process...in order to succeed, the male and female has to be "ready" to breed or else you will end up with a dead betta..

BTW, i'm in penang so...

VT-Ten: how much do u bought that turquoise of urs?from price & look we can agak agak la what type..

feed egg yolk canot la..it will cloud the water very fast & not enough uumph for ur fries..egg yolk can work for most 2~3days after their egg sac were gone.U need to get daphnia or bbs

but since urs are not those blink blink betta..so is up to u lo..it wont hurt much also..haha cause very cheap & easy to get.

take a photo of ur betta flaring either at his reflection/another betta....because halfmoons are judged based on the shape of their tails

last time i heard of few betta breeder also in PJ,david(subang jaya),Foo(PJ),then if not mistaken theres 1 red halfmoon breeder chua issit from melaka..he got a house turn to farm..then penang got another chua if not mistaken..johor i know 1 of them but forgotten call what name already..he give his betta for free to anyone who wanna breed them..

I dont think ppl know me coz i did not join the society back in the days as i did not see it necessary to join as it was just a hobby and i did not want to commit to anything since i was only a form 5 student. I believe i started Foo(i hope we r talking about the same Foo ) off by giving him a bunch of my (crappy) bettas for him to breed when he was just form 3 if i m not mistaken . I am also the one who got the controversial Simon (old fatty ) to get the ball rolling by giving him my whole batch of bettas as i was quitting the hobby at that time.

I have heard of the breeder in melaka..quite famous...also heard of david...breeder with high end equipment as Simon told me once..i only "know" 2 ppl in penang...that is sifu sim and haur and i guess the rest of my contacts have stopped this hobby since i have not heard from them...

btw do u know Peter from Klang? is he still active? he used to transport bettas from thailand for me...wondering if he can still do it

it depends wut normal fish food you are referring to...if it is pellets it should be fine...you can put them in a small aquarium...no need to pump anything...bettas do not like water currents
