why my hm's fin like very heavy. after flaring for a while, then the tail drop again. dun flare liao...lol

It could because of what you say : "HEAVY" . some of the HM has a really heavy finnage. So this could caused a burden to the fish. they might not flare for long and sometime it seems to be in active . So to solve this problem, 'JUST CHOP IT' ..

loll... chop it?? chop the fish or the fin? lol...will feeding them live food boost their energy to flare?

It's normal for HM to turn SD as they grow old and that's the reason why HM from good line are not cheap. I've a HM that could still flare 180 and he's somewhere along 7-8 mths old but i doubt he'll be able to hold it much longer as i noticed his caudal is getting too heavy for him...gonna ask some sifu to help me chop it when i wanna spawn him.

He's an OHM a mth back but now he's just HM

chopping it very easy one .. just put them in the net with the net partially in the water .. then the fish will stumble here and there ... you can wait a lil while for it to calm down a bit and quickly cut off their tail and fins with a sharp scissors .. after it is done, just release him back . DONE ..

lol...i juz cut the tail....but the stupid scissors not so sharp. so have to cut a few times. now its tail quite short.....

is it that SD cant hold their tails long. coz mine is a SD...
