Any1 got the same problems ??? icon_question.gif

Are you referring to overcrank? Happens to me every once in awhile too.

A few members have said that updating the ECU at service centre will solve the problem smile.gif
I only plan to get it done during my next service

What is the top speed/highest speed for a stock standard eb cfe (without any modification)?
*
Brochure states top speed is 185km/h. In my experience, this is true smile.gif

This was done on a clear empty road which was considered flat to me. Maybe a downhill stretch might make it shoot above 185km/h? biggrin.gif

this is good, better than some of the 2000cc mpv. but skyprince seems to go to up to 200 km per hour and faster than 2600cc merc!
*
I'm assuming he/she was on a downhill stretch of road to reach such speeds tongue.gif

This is only my second time hitting top speed. I dare not go above the speed limit unless I'm absolutely certain the conditions are alright (completely empty road, good weather, no passengers) biggrin.gif

My exora cfe(engine stock) can go 210km/h,and no,not downhill stretch.

First batch of Exora CFE (2011) model, their car can go 240km/h..but after update the ECU,top speed lower already..

My exora 2013 batch.

Whoa, that's a crazy speed for an MPV LOL tongue.gif

i recall some one said they actually went very high speed with L. but ya, i'm still confused by the features on this car... L gear... SAT.

speaking of SAT... there must be a reason why Proton engineers put this. i'm sure its not just to emulate the old style auto gear. there must be a good reason for this, right? anyone know any situation where the SAT is actually useful?
*
Many cars with CVT gearboxes have a function or a button to try to emulate a conventional auto gearbox. Not sure whats the real purpose for it, but I suppose Proton put it in there just because everyone else is doing so with their CVTs too? laugh.gif

QUOTE(tst71 @ Aug 5 2014, 10:36 AM)
Personally don't like the feel of the "D" with SAT mode cos can feel dashboard vibration when start to move the can from stationery.  wink.gif
But yet to try "L" with SAT, cos I like the feel of "L" for uphill & low speed(<100Km/hrs) driving... icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Agreed that SAT makes the car vibrate more than usual during acceleration from stop. It's the main reason why I don't use it.
I remember reading from the owner's manual that SAT does not work with L gear smile.gif

I recall someone facing something similar to this quite awhile ago. Others suggested to update or reflash the ECU at sc smile.gif

Yes, went for the Webasto Hollandia 300 which is bit expensive...  as for this product it comes with 3 year Warranty even for labour (meaning if leaks) and I already have 2 friends using it (1yr plus and 2yrs) with no issues. And the reviews were quite good....
And since I have to tear the body, didn't want to take any chances  smile.gif

The upholstery was done in JB. They done a good job and the package also includes covering all the 8 pillars. I took the opportunity to stuff in some more sponge to all the Seats. So they re-stuffed 1 inch Sponge for the Seats in the front and 2nd row.... and it is more comfortable to sit.... smile.gif

Proton famous for rebadging Mitsubishi car to make it Proton
Was Exora a rebadge also ?

The only 2 remaining rebadges in Proton's lineup at the moment are the Inspira and the Perdana 2nd gen.
Exora is 100% original Proton smile.gif

Also driver chair got sound when traffic jam.

Make sure u go early in the morning, they will not entertain u afternoon.
They want whole day to take out the dashboard.

My driver chair also got sound after 2 days i received the car.....zzzz

However, i have fixed the problem by spraying WD40 onto the moving hinges.
*
I had the driver side chair squeaky sound problem too, complained to SC and they rectified the problem for me by lubricating the moving parts of the chair. Problem solved smile.gif

As for the airbag cover vibration sound, my dad's friend unit had that problem too when accelerating from standstill. My own unit however does not have this problem.
I believe you can try complaining to SC to see if they can do anything for you smile.gif

Regarding the brake stiffness issue, I too have that problem but only happens rarely. So far 4 instances within my ownership span of 8 months.

Based on my experience, twice it was caused by having both front and rear air cond blowers at full blast, and I pressed on the brakes repeatedly (during slow moving traffic)

Other 2 times it happened when I was reversing, and also caused by me pressing on the brakes repeatedly.

My guess is that it could be caused by the brake fluids not flowing properly due to engine high load or something. just guessing.

Hi sifu here,

Is 2013 stock worth purchasing? The price seem to differs between 5-6k.
Any 2013 exora owner here can enlighten me please ;-)

Tenkiu

I'd say go for the 2014 stock if possible, since the 2014 stock comes with a vacuum pump that helps with braking and hill hold assist. Plus the 2014 stock supposedly comes with the newer CVT3+ gearbox too smile.gif

Wow... took me a while to read 90+ page...

Got my EB 2014 sometime in end March... so far so good... some weird vibrating sound from either the passenger seat or airbag... not quite sure though, but after reading all the posts, apparently this is a problem that can be resolved.

So will probably note this with the service personnel during my 20k service at CoSE. Goo service so far...
*
If it's a plastic vibration sound, chances are that it's coming from the passenger side airbag cover, or the piece of plastic at the small quarter window of front left dash side.

Should be able to be resolved at SC smile.gif

I'd say go for the CFE if you can. It has significantly better power than the CPS model smile.gif

My exora is already 1 year 1 month old and so far the issues with the gearbox is

CVT Light ON (13times)
I sent my car for 3rd service and asked to check why the light came on,they told me to leave it there for 2 days so I said nvm, next service..The reason the light came on is because of the CVT Sensor, that sensor is the one which will give problem, and sometimes, when the sensor sends wrong info to the ECU,you will lose power and can't acceralate.I already knew it was the sensor problem because all the time the ligh comes my i don't feel anything with my car.

Regarding the turbo,
There's on of the club members exora turbo fail..mileage 47K..he complained to SC and they said no warranty and have to pay 6.5K because he overdue service..but it turns out to be some engine oil issues that SC used it seems..actually it is under warranty, but he complained to SC and not to proton.he complained to proton then now i dont know what happen.
.

Was this case related to Proton discontinuing X1R engine additive for CFE engines after finding out that it has bad effects on the engine?
