QUOTE(sKypRiNcE734 @ Sep 9 2014, 07:58 AM) Same here, waiting for it.Dashboard also leather woo..Price is set to start below RM45K.The front looks very good, but i dont know how the rear look. Many people say copy myvi, but I don't know where their brains went to. Apparently the highest spec variant will match the Myvi Extreme in terms of price Now that's what I call value for money

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 15 2014, 02:38 PM) i think it was shared before. if not mistaken, also listed in manual or sth... basically, very old format. its actually not the extension that is the main problem but rather how the video was encoded -- mpeg2, 3 or 4... etc... i think mpeg2 or sth like that should be fine. ya, it can be quite troublesome... so in the end, i just resorted to using DVD... :S avi encoded in xvid format works fine

QUOTE(wai1460 @ Sep 15 2014, 12:10 PM) some noob question here. How regularly EB send for alignment? 10k, 20k? My EB 7k already tend go to left side recently. No off road, pot hole or bumpy road driving. Normally use on highway drive. Eh? 7000km only? My unit just hit 10000km and I don't have this problem. If I recall correctly, some other members have this problem too with their EB (regardless of mileage) and it was fixed by installing stiff rings. Maybe it is the same for you? QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 17 2014, 11:08 AM) FC... for those curious. mix of highway and city. i do about 80km per day. average is 11.3L per 100km... not really good. but i blame the city traffic. its about 50-50 between city + highway just wondering... those with the standard "leather seats", do you guys go put seat cover. originally i wanted to as i found the standard "leather seat" to be quite easily stained by shoe prints, etc. but when i see how much effort was put into the seats (like place and restrain to put the seat belt buckle, etc... i wonder if i fit seat cover over, will it still be so nice. seat cover... also partly to cover the back row seat... the back of the backrow is not "leather"... so i find not so nice. It's all real leather except the rear side of the driver and passenger seats. Even in my dad's camry the leather seats will easily get stained by shoe prints too The rear of the 2nd row seats is just some fabric material. When sitting in 3rd row, the knees will keep rubbing against the fabric, which isn't as comfortable. I think that it would be nicer if Proton actually put leather there too This post has been edited by YouDontKnowMyName: Sep 17 2014, 02:01 PM

QUOTE(alexei @ Sep 19 2014, 08:22 AM) This car average FC is between 10~12L/100km. To me, petrol brand makes a difference. Here's my FC sharing, best to worst: Caltex, Petron\Petronas, Shell. Also, my EO this round is towards its 10,000km, and I notice FC is getting worse. For me, best to worst is Petron > Shell and BHP > Petronas. Haven't tried other brands yet, but I noticed Petron gives the best mileage for me

QUOTE(alexei @ Sep 19 2014, 02:14 PM) Please will you try Caltex? Just to make sure if my conclusion is correct. Surprised with your shell vs Petronas but Nevermind since won't be first choice of situation permits. Another observation, after start engine and drive for first 5 minute, the remaining distance will drop by 20km within a short time and distance. Scares me to see it drop that much within less than 2km actual travel. Worse when it is around 80km remaining, one time it actually drop all the way until blinking with the refuel light on. Oh ya, Tesco selling shell and mobil 1 synthetic oil around 150, anyone got it? I don't have any Caltex stations nearby where I frequent. I'll definitely try it out if I can though

Surprised with your shell vs Petronas but Nevermind since won't be first choice of situation permits. Did some searching online and found that there's a Caltex station not too far away from my daily commuting route. I plan to keep using Petron for one more tank, then switch to Caltex until my next service (which is due mid next month), as I am still doing some research on which brand of petrol is better So far I have used 5 tanks worth of Petron, and up to now it seems like Petron is still the best amongst what I have tried This post has been edited by YouDontKnowMyName: Sep 20 2014, 01:09 AM

Wow suddenly so many radiator problems being brought up lately. What happened?? edit : Just checked my unit of EB (2013 batch with turbo emblem, bought in december). My radiator is the plastic type. Does anyone know what causes the radiator to fail? or anything we can do to prevent it from happening to us? Hopefully Proton initiates a recall for the affected units. This post has been edited by YouDontKnowMyName: Sep 25 2014, 03:05 PM

QUOTE(trapeze @ Sep 25 2014, 03:41 PM) Dun wait for the recall, just approach SC to request for change. On EOCM fb page some said few SC did arrange for change oredi... Good Luck! Tomorrow going to Proton 3S centre to check out the new Iriz, probably will enquire their staff about whether can arrange for radiator change for my EB. My next service for the EB is due in another 1 months+. Hopefully can

QUOTE(rOnnyJustrOn @ Sep 25 2014, 03:58 PM) Thermal fatigue and high pressure from radiator into water turbo inlet. Some say that plastic hose is too short and any vibration made by engine will move this part. Why in the world did Proton use plastic for something that is supposed to be subjected to lots of stress The new radiator type is fully metal?

QUOTE(tehsarbat @ Sep 28 2014, 01:32 AM) so, any news to update from your sc visit. The guy I asked said that as long as your EB is under warranty, there should be no problem getting the warranty claim for the radiator. I'll send my EB in for the warranty claim when I send in for my 10k km service next month This post has been edited by YouDontKnowMyName: Sep 28 2014, 10:21 AM

QUOTE(vic0130 @ Sep 28 2014, 10:20 PM) Hi, may i know when i goona do my 1st 1000km? Coz i cant find it in the service book. Btw, i seldom use this car at this moment. So far only 86km for this pass 4 days  And i got heard clicking sound out from the seat, is it from the joining part? Should i put the Wd-40 myself? or wait till 1st service n let them settle it? first 1000km no time limit. Once you hit 1000km only send for service. I remember I only hit 1000km approx 1month of receiving my EB whereas the 5000km service has time limit. Which if I remember correctly is due 6 months from date of receiving your EB. As for the clicking sound, just complain to the SC about it. They will fix the problem for you I had some squeaky sound on my seats too. They fixed it for me by adding WD40 to the mechanism This post has been edited by YouDontKnowMyName: Sep 28 2014, 10:39 PM
