i was wondering, how about apps compatibility?
since preloaded with gapps, meaning can install from playstore and how about version?
some apps only supported at 4.3 and above
*
There will not be any issue with apps compatibility. It's running on latest CM Rom based on 4.4.2. And they support and love custom Rom.

got LED notification but not as nice as the one on find 7.

as for photo samples, besides the link i shared a few pages back (taken with the test unit given to winners), they also shared on Google+. check under OnePlus Google+ page. one winner by the name Martin shared a lot of photos including 4k video. can see ant moving! !

I used to despise software image stabilization, but seen Z2's and OPO's software image stabilization in video, it's good enough.

Seriously how much could a card reader cost. RM 10?
*
Though I cant represent them, but some phone dont use SD card for good reason.
1. Google limitation over external storage on KitKat OS. Security concern.
2. Developer headache over external storage. Apps developer doesnt like external storage as apps may goes haywire when user remove SD card.
3. Slow SD card product. Install a cheap SD card ( most people bought normal cheap SD card ) into phone slow downs user experience, and users will blame phone for lagness and slow.

I seriously doesnt care if SD card reader missing from OPO as there's 64GB options and it's only $50 extra from 16GB. Also, this is not Samsung phone that took over large portion of storage for it's bloatware.

QUOTE(Shengz @ Apr 24 2014, 09:27 AM)
Agreed with you.

Size... Its hard to please everyone, one finds 4.5" is good, another preferred 5", some felt 5.5" the best. As far as I concern, they didn't promise anything with the size. But some can't accept it(because the leaked image of Z1) thus called it as lies. laugh.gif

Sometimes, I just can't brain what do those so called fans want really. A small startup company comes out with fantastic(or may I call it fancy/gimmick?) features that need years and load of golds to research? sweat.gif

I'm more concern towards the stability of the ROM, and the continuous support for the device. whistling.gif

To add on, FIRST of ALL, I wanted to say that I'm not Apple hater or what. But the 4" screen of the 5s is junk to me. It is too small(maybe my eyes are junk), 5" is best for me, but the size of note 3, hmmm... Me too need some time to adapt I guess... hmm.gif
*
If you're participate a lot in their forum, there's so many fans demanding this and that, keep quoting #NeverSettle
Features like SD card slot, wireless charging, rapid charge tech etc had been raised and keep quoting #NeverSettle, but different person with different requirement, surely cant satisfy everyone.

But like we said, its hard to please everyone, some like the capacitive buttons, but I don't like it as well as I'm use to Nexus 4 already. tongue.gif
I guess the SD card lays some problems somewhere, some instability and performance degrade when certain apps goes into it. For some, they just store videos/photos/music, then its fine. When 64Gb is still not enough for most, complains will still there when 500Gb phones surface. Believe it, human will #NeverSettle, they just demand for more. notworthy.gif

Wireless charging is still immature, I do have a LG wireless charger as dust keeper. Nothing beats cable.
The only mistake is, #NeverSettle, the double-edge sword. cool2.gif
*
Myself hate capacitive button, takes up bezel space, prefer software button like Nexus.

For those said 64GB not enough, actually would like to ask if they did purchase SD card of size 64GB/128GB or not ? Same thing to those demand removable battery, actually would ask them whether they did purchase extra battery for their sammy or not ? Original battery are much expensive than power bank, I highly doubt they would buy spare battery.
Just saying . . . . rclxub.gif

OIS... depend on sensor.... but by looking at Oppo Find7 which also no OIS... I don't think I will be bothered

MicroSD... just get the 64GB ones... I will not miss MicroSD....

WirelessCharging... a gimmick... not a requirement

For the Price... I can compromise all this....
*
Wireless charging, might be gimmick for now, but it's useful and it's future basic requirement.

QUOTE(123joe @ Apr 24 2014, 12:14 PM)
if camera lover, this might not be an option
get the 64gb version,  plus otg cable
wireless charging. its a slow charge.

im registered. now waiting for the invitation.  smile.gif
*
Why camera lover this might not be an option ? Smartphone with great photo capability does not all have OIS, iPhone 5/5S, Sony Z2, Samsung S5 all dont have OIS. OnePlus One using one of the best camera sensor available now, and there's sample shots from users received camera test unit and photos taken are capable of challenging basic DSLR.

OIS doesnt work alone, it cooperate with camera software and driver. These smartphone manufacturers are getting better at software image stabilization, example at Z2's video recording review below.

pulsed notification light --> this is so cool. ya... wish this is there. but even Find 7A... only 1 colour. not very useful.

There is, next to ear piece. Multi-color notification light.

For the price they are offiering for 64GB, no microSD isn't a big issue for me.

Just worried on warranty wise.
*
There's possibility they will expand to Malaysia, as per interview with Pete Lau, they're looking forward to tackle SEA market.
Been using Nexus 5 ( not officially support in Malaysia )

Find 7's one quite nice, too bad blue color only. I quite like the Xperia SP's notification bar.

Paying for something Future might be useful?? thanks but no thanks...

I pay for what I need now... cause phone only last me 1-2 years...

I'll only pay for one when future need it...
*
It's not paying for future, the tech is here. What I meant wireless charging had big possibility become standard requirement every phone will need, just like camera etc that used to be gimmick on phone.
I'm almost buying myself a wireless charger, but was on hold because of OnePlus, need confirmation that it support, but now it turns out doesnt support cry.gif

You know when they first mentioned wireless charging I thought it was going to be me being able to walk around the house holding the phone while the phone is charging. Imagine my disappointment once I found out I have to set the phone on something to charge it. I mean I need to reply to messages how am I supposed to when I can't move it?

bulk is not going to be easy with the invite system. but let's see how... get invite first, then decide. I know got a few forwarder in Hong Kong, so can use those services too.
