Hi there, can anyone estimate what's the shot-to-shot delay after updating to Windows Phone 8.1? Is it laggier compared to Windows Phone 8? And is the lag significant in real life? Does it irritate you?

Noticed that. Nokia Cyan would probably solve this

Been using my 1020 with 8.1 for almost a week, upgraded from my old 920. I can say that 1020 is very nice ( in term of camera) but I can feel the phone is a bit laggy with 8.1

Just wait for official updates? Or is there anything i can do?

Why is Whatsapp being acting strange these few days?

1. notifcations doesnt come in as instant as before, whereas my iphone 5s gets it.

2. opening the apps takes WAY LONGER than usual.. sometimes it crashes back to the home screen.

Anyone facing same prob recently?

So, it's confirmed. The whatsapp windows phone version/server is having issues demmit..

Turned off the background task for Whatsapp, restart phone, now phone is smooth. Whatsapp's issue/bug hogs the phones memory/network like crazy

I have been using 1020 in power saving (all the time) mode, very happy with the implementation.

It turns off whatsapp by default as a background mode. So it turns on only when you have time to read stuff.

One full charge can last for 2 full days. Its really worth it. ( full charge with LTE and occasional wifi turn on both or one.)

I was getting excited about the 1020 but having tried my friend's 1020, the lag between photos is a no-no. I think I can have a cup of coffee between shots.

yep. too long. Heard Lumia Cyan updates will fix it but not as fast as other Lumia devices I think

Just wonder, did anyone have problem with their Lumia 1020 like me? Because lately my phone have some problem. Sometimes it will shut down by itself and i have to soft reset it to turn on (power button + volume down). I donno whether this is hardware issue or windows phone 8.1 bug. Is it necessary for me to take it to Nokia Service Centre? And will my warranty cover it if its a hardware issue?

It happened to me once 2 days ago, which was never occurred when my OS was windowsphone 8. After the auto shut down, the date and time was changed (go check your handphone), which messed up the messaging data etc.

It is quite certain that its due to the OS 8.1 issue. My handphone was always in battery saving mode, which turn off almost all the background functionality. So its unlikely to be due to whatsapp etc..

I'm on 8.0 and never updated to 8.1, and whatsapp has been buggy these few weeks. So, yeah whatsapp not causing the random reset etc. Now just leaving whatsapp as it is, cant open nor reply etc. If open, phone will lag, and have to restart manually to get back smoothness.

Glad I don't have big problems with 8.1. Be assure to format first before you update. My personal advice

just got this phone. and i didnt update to 8.1 yet. but i did see that when doing manual focus to infinity i did get blurry pic. this does not happen when using auto on focus. auto mode i still able to get sharp picture. but only not on manual focus. firmware problem?

nope, my 920 is also the same. Now on 1020 also the same. Probably it was on 'hyperfocal' mode, not infinity.
