orh icic...nola was wondering oni hehe....advan neova is a good tyre thou cannot compare with any goodyear f1 or anything...t1r grip oso can't compare with ad07 in dry condition haha...wet hell yeah lolz....haha but the threadwear dem fast haha lolz..ur ad07 can last u how long?
*
mine so far only 5K km's, and so far the thread wear is even throughout, no ecessive wear on the shoulder blocks.

my dad also using them, so far a bit less than 25K, with 20-25% left. but his is 16 inch... but makes no difference on threadwear though..

haha u see the spec for threadwear on ad07 LOLz...its oni 180 haha which normal tyres around 240-280 lolz....mine use 1month+ already 20% gone lolz....now 80% left mine is on 15" 195/55
*
wah, u really enjoying it huh, 20% is how many km's, but at least it wears out evenly, compared to my T1R last time... 1 month and one track outing the side shoulders was bald! and this is for both front and back...

yeap u can say dat i enjoy this tyre very much after changing it lolz....orh haha mine was around 2k kilo oni guar lolz haha...but wear out evenly ler i can say at least hehe....btw u go into track days wat camber angle u set? left 1.5? then right 1.0?
*
wah, 2K already 20%, lucky mine 5K only abt 20%, been doing a lot of highway on this set and sayang it so far smile.gif
u referring to toe issit? why ur chamber left and right different? nascar racing ahh tongue.gif..., but to get accurately got to sit in the car la. cannot have them just do a -.5 difference on the alighment machine, and also depends on what absorbers also, if stock then the difference ok la taken into consideration the driver side will be heavier, but if ajustables, with or without the driver also not much differece coz even jack up the car also the tires drop 2 inch lolz, but also depends on the damping and spring rate.
anyway, i ususally have chamber -1.5 on the front and rear but my toe is + for the front and - for the rear to induce a more neutral stance.

edit: forgot to add, it was on adjustables.

ops paiseh i mean -1.5 lolz...haha btw it is easier for u to enter corner with a negative chamber on left...on right set it to -1.0 better....ofc'z not stock absorber but now i still using stock dats y i cannot comment but i think one of our member moe using this kinda camber which i think it is also better for SIC track hehe...rear i forget wat is the settings already mayb lesser but the front will be like this for trackdays haha if back to normal road just adjust back to normal ba...lolz

yeah hehe agreed with u shacks lolz
*
hmm.. different chamber settings on both left and right. usually i dont do that becoz taking left corner and right corner is different, on top of that, toe settings will also lari a bit making the car unpredictable. the only time a car may be setup this way is when it is in an oval track.

but anyway some ppl will do that to compensate the drivers weight on the right, so when the driver sits in the car, both sides will be more or less be balanced. but this can only be done if he is really sure of his weight, his car weight, the damping force and the spring rate of his car. the best is do the alighment while the driver is in the car and with all the rubbish thrown out (errr, weight reduction for track).

but given all things equal, the toe setup is where u can control the character of the car, by having toe out for the front, u can reduce understeer, u can maximise it with a rear toe in. experiement and get this right and u can have a bit of oversteer or a neutral setup. this is for FWD la...

there is no right and wrong of doing it, its all drivers preference and how a person prefer his car setup. rclxms.gif, the most important thing is can corner fast tongue.gif, its a very personal and intamate thing laugh.gif

i long time didnt go track liau, even now i am using stock abs, not so nice in attacking corners . johor roads cannot use adjustables la, backside pain tongue.gif... looking for a sporty set of absorbers now...

thats a feature that most modern auto's have... this is to induce engine braking while going downhill so that u will have more control of the car such as when there is a need to accelerate and also will make braking a lot easier in case of an emergency

i dunno about gen2 coz i have a manual, but in other auto's, u can trick the gearbox by applying or feathering the throttle just to the point where there is a balance of going downhill and acceleration so that it does not shift down.

maybe those with auto's can share more smile.gif

it is a korean brand...something like hankook (or did i spell wrongly haha) barum is also another korean brand...erm wat is the size of ur tyre? T1R oso not bad? if can save abit more for either ad07 or just take falken semi-slick RT215...
*
wei, first of all what size...

dont want toyo t1r la .... haiyo. that tire make me headache... bad experience, 25K and the thing gone, the sidewall was bald inside and outside, a lot of uneven wear

ard 200 and a bit more or less la huh, u got a few to select from...
1) pilot preceda, ard RM210-220 (great compromise for comfort and handling)
2) avan neova (jpn) (no need intro rite, but its rm240 at kedai papan, klang)
3) st115 (jpn) RM?? but ard rm200(dunno still got or not but its quite good)
4) eagle F1 gsd3 ard/less RM200 (thailand), but.... hehe see i argue with mod la ok, (but overall, if u are not a hard/agressive driver, its quite good)
5) silverstone evol 8,less than 200, its great tyre, quite cheap too, but dont last long.
6) conti sports contact 1, less than 200 .... anyone using?
7)....... any recomendations?

but whatever it is, if u want handling then its always go for softer compound tyre, anything less than 280 threadwear... the softest among those above is AD07 with 180.

and with your budget of rm200 each i think u will not have any problems... very realistic... rclxm9.gif

ok guys, now my turn to ask,
how long ur clutch plate last before u need to change... anyone???

under the sae, under the sea.... heehee, cheer up bro, old one dont go new one wont come, thats how i think of my exessssssssss..... may they regret later in life (well, some already do tongue.gif). i regard myself as a good fish tongue.gif

today took delivery of my GF's myvi tongue.gif, i think i will be using it a few days, first impressions were quite good.

only things were:
1. doors dont close easily (but alighment all ok)
2. opening the rear boot got "nyeeeek" sound (some wd40 will help)
3. the passenger door panel is not that stright near the window line, slight bulge (but i dont care la, see carefully only will notice)
4. alighment all out!!! (funny, but will go do alighment tomorrow.
5. the car jack got no PROPER mounting points so it rolls around. maybe tie with rafia string tongue.gif

and quite pissed off becoz
1. the damn car got interior light dimmer!!! my 55K car don have
2. the car no rattles (cannot be said about my 55K car when new)
3. the cars Noise Level while crusing is so much more silent than mine when stock!!!
4. overall build quality is better than proton's..... but plastics more or less the same although textures are better.
5. and it got 4, yes FOUR, cupholders, my passengers got to hold their own cups!!!

ok. better stop here or else gen2 thread become myvi thread tongue.gif

only thing for the gen2 is that it handles better, the myvi feels a bit mushy and soft... heehee. AND I STILL LOVE MY GEN2!!!!
