Thanks, it's actually for engineering work, with some autocad, programming tools.
Have to be windows 7 compatible, that's why resolution higher with big screen is preferable. Best is cheap also, haha....

Aiyo you see la, that's what happens when you all don't mention properly your requirements sweat.gif
You almost bought the wrong notebook! lol

For your usage, go for the RM2999 MSI GP60, ignore the others nod.gif

*Don't think there are any W7 laptop anymore that suits your requirements

what is your usage 1st?

Lenovo is not related to IBM but the Lenovo bought IBM's laptop business division, the Thinkpad series. IBM is now a business solution consultant and service provider.

Hi guys, i'm looking for a laptop which will be used mainly for work, mostly involving office applications and autocad. Need a laptop which is reliable and good warranty coverage. Currently considering the Thinkpad 440P variants, between the i5 and i7 models. The i5-4200h variant comes with 4600hd and the i7-4600m comes with gt730m. Is there any significant performance difference between these? It's about 1k difference in price.

Or anyone can recommend other laptops of similar performance and price range?

Thanks.

Not really a big difference, unless if you are doing 3D stuffs nod.gif
If you are doing 3D stuffs, then it might be better to consider notebooks with more powerful GPUs instead thumbup.gif

Look for bro Oscar here mate: https://www.facebook.com/pages/DellAlienwar...1751731?fref=ts
You can tell him I recommend u one haha icon_rolleyes.gif
He will make the 512GB SSD spec possible haha, without affecting warranty summore brows.gif

Can also ask him to quote you the price of the Dell Precision M3800 too (looks exactly the same as XPS 15, but with slightly better specs)

*Extend warranty to 3 years with remaining budget~

Whether a notebook lasts or not depends on a little bit of luck and user care... best to extend warranty as backup nod.gif

You can have a look at Dell Latitudes, but you will have to contact Dell for quotes... the specs and prices are not freely available sad.gif
