ok..i think quite no of people know that i OCed my x2 3800 to 2.5ghz with DDR1000 5-5-5-12 2.1v..

so now im trying to oc higher. but i guess i have to lower the timing.
so i adjusted to DDR667 4-4-4-12..

but then, what happened is my pc wont boot at all..blank screen..
even when i set my proc to default clock (2.0ghz) with ddr667 oso cannot boot.

but no problem if i use ddr800 cl5..but limited to 2.5ghz only lar..

so any idea whats goin on? why was it blank screen when i use ddr667 cl4?

but i cant even boot at 2.25ghz ddr900 (devider = 800) if i set the devider to 667..

so basically whats wrong with my ram?

er..sorry guyz..its ok already.

instead of adjusting the divider to 667 when 2.5ghz, i set everything to default and start overclocking with ddr667..and so far it managed to go 2.7ghz un-prime..

vcore already passed 1.525v
but i think i can go further if i can use more than 2.1vdimm..

but for my TForce 570u, its either can select <2.2v or ONLY 2.4v (ONLY means "will be fixed at 2.4v automatically, and it can't be adjusted under CMOS setup")

im scared to feed 2.4vdimm for my ram..scary it will got fried..

eh..i think no need to change mobo..ur KN9 is good already..
and first thing that u need to change is actually ur PSU..grab a true power psu so that it wont cause any problem during overclocking..

err.guyz..plz help..i dunno whats happened with my rig..

recently i juz bought 2x512mb crucial micron ddr667 ram for jy14's bulk..

and i managed to get thru 2.6ghz,
vcore : 1.6v
vdimm : 2.1v
timing : ddr667 CL4-4-4-12
* i didnt touch any other voltage and timing setting.

after passed the 1M superPI, i restart and try to oc again..but no luck..maybe its becoz of 2.1vdimm..

but then, when i change back to 2.6ghz setting (like stated above), BEEP sound produced..

just now it managed to passed superPI, but after that it wont boot, plus there was a BEEP sound..

what happened actually?

err..soulfly, u said i can use the DDR800 divider to oc further..
but looks like i cant use it, becoz 2 things happened just now:

1. Beep sound heard
2. After save and exit the bios, my ram is still (or maybe reverted back) DDR667..

so how do i use the DDR800 divider?

ddr2 voltage is around 1.8v~1.95v for value, and 2.0v~2.2v for high performance..

the board manual stated that the over-voltage cannot be adjusted anymore UNLESS u place the jumper back to default..

simple said, it will stay at 2.2v @ 2.4v..

depends on ur motherboard version.
from the manual, it stated that 2.2v overvoltage can be applied to ver 1.x.
while 2.4v is for ver 5.x/6.x..

and some additional information, the location of the jumper is different for both 2.2v and 2.4v..

well, check ur mobo and manual for more info..

if its me, i would use the ddr800 CL4 since its 1T command rate

btw how can u use the ddr800 devider? becoz ur mobo and ram are same with me but i cant use the ddr800 divider or else it will reverted back to ddr667..
