dont use the biostar oc utility. i've experience this before. suddenly it will automatically change ur settings to your previous setting that save in the log or wuteva (and sometimes i dont understand with this thing which will set ur vcore, htt and multiplier by itself). Use ClockGen would be better
*
well actually i din use that utility to overclock..but only for check my current clock and voltage...

uhm...looks like my pc becomes more weird after oc..alwayz hang and sometimes cant boot normally even it did work well before that..maybe i need to use the default setting for the time being first... sad.gif

try uninstall Biostar TForce OC Utility. I think this software running at windows startup and set the ur settings to 2.2GHz. Believe me, that utility is really wonderful at the first time but it become s*x after u using it tongue.gif

i've trying this utility before. Push my proc until 2.75GHz until my pc restart suddenly (becoz lack of vcore). Then, cannot start windows until i realize that this utility is the problem. cool.gif
*
thanks..actually im not using it for oc but only for checking my vcore and clock..
btw un-installed it already...plus all the utilities that bundled together from the driver cd..
but now running on default..will try to oc again later

QUOTE(coolblade @ Feb 2 2007, 10:01 PM)

i noe u just check vcore and clock using this utility. wut i mean, everytime this software running, even u want to check vcore and clock  (not to oc) it will change ur setting laugh.gif

I think u misread me.
I was telling u to read the vcore and temp using the Biostar T hardware monitor utility, not the OC tool. doh.gif
The monitoring one is pretty accurate...it wont change ur clock.
*
oic..my bad my bad..
sorry for misunderstood ur meaning..
btw i wont using any of tforce utility anymore..
like soulfly said,use speedfan instead.

There is a question here : If the vcore is high even with the temp is kept low, will it be killing the cpu very fast?
*
it may can..not becoz of overheated but it becoz of overvoltaged..so better play safe..
juz my 2 cents.. smile.gif

i got a question guyz..with 2.5ghz 1.488 vcore and ddr1000 2.1vdimm,i can say that my rig is quite stable even not doing the prime95 or sp2004(becoz no time), considering that no bsod or restart/hang/crash when in full load..

but sometimes(not everytime) it turned out to be cold/warm boot when i switch on my pc..example when i switch on my pc on the morning it will shows blank screen on the monitor..but this situation didnt appear when i restart my pc..only when boot after shut down..

can help me? icon_question.gif

cold boot... hmm... i think there is no solution for cold boot... usually happens bcoz of the proc... a fren of mine once happen the same to him... but after he change the proc, no cold boot happens...
he tried evrything, from adding vdimm and vcore to timing.. still the same...
if u have frens that is using the same proc as urs, try to swap for a while and test the same setting...

anyway, wat proc r u using??
*
im using am2 x2 3800 bought from jian yi...cold boot wont happen on mine with default bios..but it happened when 2.5ghz ddr1000..already increase my vcore to 1.5 also still same..

QUOTE(8tvt @ Feb 15 2007, 08:49 AM)
i faced it on default bios... latest bios should help...
thankfully asus update the bios frequently..
*
i checked on biostar website..looks like my mobo has the updated bios already
