nobody really knows, it depends on what you have

higher 'fsb' doesn't give any performance increase though.... just that 8x multi it had better ram divider

Nope it's not the least it could do. That one is just a preset vcore. I normally like to slap up the vcore to certain volts and start ocing. If things goes as planned, I'll start reducing it bit by bit.

Now I am doing 2.85 at 1.425v still priming. An hour had passed now. I really hope my tforce 6100 can cope.
definitely better than mine....

what ram are u using?

sorry i wan to ask something~

Did DFI Infinity UltraII M2 , CPU tem will lower than System Tem??

My DFI CPU tem is about 26~29c but my system show about 35c did it showing wrong tem??( i not in AirCond room)

i using Smart Guardian and Speed Fan both showing same tem~ !

Did anything wrong with this tem??Because last time my Asus M2N-E cpu tem always higher than System~

Other DFI user what is ur tem with Default Speed??
Not sure about default speed, but at overclocked speed my idle temp is around 30'C~32'C only.

probably the system temp probe is near to the mobo chipset, the chipset is freakin hot

QUOTE(Cyrus2k @ Oct 1 2006, 03:01 PM)
hmm, my cpu couldn't boot up if I try with 260 HT...

Is this problem only occurs on dual-core? I saw a lot of single core (Orleans) could OC more than that easily... doh.gif

I guess I have to CPU burn-in again.. (I already tried CPU burn-in to get 240 HT up to 250)

which BIOS are u using?

what is your setting at 260mhz which cannot boot? provide more details so that people can help.

QUOTE(mzms @ Oct 3 2006, 08:13 AM)
Recently, I incorrectly flashed my Biostar Geforce 6100 AM2 with the bios for the TForce 6100 AM2 (CR51A811.bst). It actually works without a hitch and I'm really impressed with the many differnet options you Tforce users get with your TF board in the bios. I especially like the OC Navigator and CRP reload section. I tried OC with this bios and succeeded too, using both auto and manual but manual is a bit challenging since I have an easy to use DRAM timing section with the A505 bios (GF). I didn't want to risk anything too extreme though and quickly flashed back to the correct A811 bios after a some fiddling around with the tforce bios.
nice finding there mate

QUOTE(pcmoddingmy @ Oct 3 2006, 04:36 PM)
Actually you don't even need to mod the mobo to run SLI. Just google for modded Forceware drivers and install it.
As for SLI bridge, you don't need it for low-end to mid-range graphics cards because it doesn't transfer that much bandwidth until it needs a bridge. In fact, most cards can now run SLI w/o a bridge.
any benchmark to illustrate 7300gt ddr3 with and without SLI bridge?

mine can pass SuperPi32M at the same speed with 1.5V bios set voltage. but still...cannot prime stable, tension! need more burn in.

update 1: tried running 2711mhz @ 1.45v with CPU Stretcher for 8 hours. system locked up in about 1 hour during the test.

update 2: increase the voltage to 1.475. finishes CPU Stretcher for 8 hours. but still not prime stable.

For those who want their max overclocking added to the list, please provide SuperPi32M screenie. SP2004/Prime/OCCT is also acceptable.

Is it really worth it to upgrade from 3000+ to 3800+ x2? Any price slash from amd again within this 2-3 weeks? ha ha ha
it's not worth if you're just looking for fun

it's worth if you're doing video/audio encoding and heavy multitasking at the same time

QUOTE(syarat @ Oct 5 2006, 01:28 PM)
no price slash imo.maybe after the launching of 35nm proc, present X2 will be slashed. rclxms.gif  but then, upgrading to dual core only if u feel the necessity..i want them too, but then now it is good for me to play few games, so i wont bother.
35nm? I haven't heard AMD nor Intel talking about 35nm.

Even if AMD is releasing 65nm, there wont be any significant price slash because those are not entirely new product. Most likely they will just phase out the 90nm products from the shelves.

QUOTE(mzms @ Oct 5 2006, 07:59 AM)
Guys, my orleans 3200 clocked at 260x10 will sometimes refuse to boot up when i do a cold boot. the biostar watchdog kicks in and tells me to reduce or reset the CPU speed during POST.

however, after doing a CTRL ALT DEL it starts normally or I can just go into BIOS and exit again and it'll start normally. At 260x10, it has completed more than 24 hours of Prime95 and various other burn in runs like sandra and 3dmark loops. So why doesn't it want to cold boot sometimes? Is this an indication of a PSU problem? Not enough juice?
probably the BIOSTAR utility is crap tongue.gif

garric: hows the BTVX installation on the motherboard.... does the heatpipe it interfere with the first and second DDR slot?

I think Mini Typhoon pipe will interfere 1st and 2nd slot also.... judging from the heatpipe curve which is just similar with BTVX, only that BTVX is much taller and bigger.

tachlio:

I am planning to get Hyper TX as well. I believe the fan shroud will not interfere with UltraII-M2's ram slots. I've tried compare (by images) that the clearance is just fine.

Socket AM2 is Socket AM2, but it utilizes 940-pin design. It is not the same as Socket-940.

Many people misused Socket-940 name for Socket-AM2.
