Mine cannot mod to SLi because they're have put some black glue on that area. laugh.gif
same with mine... I just scrap off that 'glue' and pencil it.

be careful not to scrap off the metal point laugh.gif

ikan_semilang : how about cooling? maybe the temp is holding back

anyway.... tested some DDR800 divider action on my DFI (current TForce550 bios does not officially support DDR800 divider for single core procesors)....

The bus speed should be in the same section as CPU setting.

Your cpu default multiplier is x10... there should be no problem.

soulfly : You got a Biostar TF550 mobo before right?
A question, how do I change the clock multiplier in the BIOS? I found one option and changed it to x8, but when I look into cpuz it was still in x10...

bios update will solve the problem. try downloading the latest bios.

no... dual core doesn't have any effect on SuperPi calculation ... it's just a single threaded task

@soulfly
wow, you got some nice results there; what is your idle and load temperature? I'm using stock cooler as well, but now my CPU (OC'ed to 2.4GHz) temp could go up to around 55~58C during maxload (afternoon time)...
I'm just thinking whether I should wait for my Scythe Infinity before pushing it higher  unsure.gif

but still... the BIOS flash wont let u have higher Vdimm options.

nothing much you can do with the very little Vdimm. even I don't feel enough with 2.5Vdimm option on my DFI. tongue.gif

Thanks for the tip. Is the Power supply price  with or without casing.
Normally, casing comes with power supply, not power supply comes with casing... lol!

... and no, Enermax FMA is just a power supply.

i going to buy
Ahtlon x 2 3600 = rm449
Mushkin 512MB PC800 DDR2 = rm230
Biostar TF550 = rm319
and i will take my xp90c to put in to my new AM2 socket , izzit good?
i just scare AMD will not stable at all only....
good combo

except for XP-90C ... you will need Thermalright AM2 RM Rev.B to make it fit on your board. the XP90-C bracket wont work.

ah fong : you are greedy... that's high already. better cooling might help. or higher voltage.

Waiting for another board to pair with the x2 3600+.
Will have 2 AM2 rigs soon.

Hey soulfly, if u don't mind I ask.
I been browsing all the 31 pages just now.
You said that tforce 6100-am2 bios sux compared to TF550, would you enlighten me about the difference?
ah... it's nothing big actually. it's just that 6100-AM2 bios memory timing options is limited if you compare with the TF500-series.

TF500-series is quite 'DFI-alike'.

QUOTE(Jealousy @ Aug 25 2006, 11:15 PM)
thanks... cyrus2k
but if i go for corair xms.... 2 x 512 i should get or 1gb? 800mhz or 667 mhz for tat budget?
I would suggest Corsair XMS2 6400C5 .... there might be 80% chance of getting Micron D9GMH.

XMS2 6400C3 confirm Micron, but it's much more expensive.

u r using original HSF or wat ?
i think ram i will buy 512 DDR800 enuff liao , coz if i buy 1 more 512 ddr800 will out of my budget,
so the cooling method i think i will use back my xp90c , izzit will be ok ?
refer to my post earlier.... u need to use Thermalright special AM2 retention module kit Rev.B in order to use xp-90c.... and the retention kit is not easy to find.

fine tuning the RAM will probably difficult since the timing options are just basic if you're gonna do extensive overclocking to the RAM

anyway.... just found out that my cpu can go 2200MHz with just 1.2v biggrin.gif

...and look at the HTT also above 1000MHz, no stability issue so far thumbup.gif

Some updates: This is pretty much the highest speed I can get with just 1.2V cpu voltage. Will do some quick burn-in afterwards and see whether I can increase another few more MHz.

soulfly how u make ur corsair ddr667 into 450mhz ht ?
My previous Corsair667 was using Elpida chips.

Check out LYN DDR2 thread... I think I put my setting somewhere in there.

izzit big different between x2 3600+ and x2 3800 ?
i just know is Catch memory different only
2.9ghz Sempron is about equal to 2.8ghz Athlon64 in SuperPi.

I think for AM2, cache is very not important because the bandwidth provided by DDR2.

The price between X2 3600+ and X2 3800+ is a lot different, it's like around RM100 more or less.

allenultra : i heard somewhere in XS forum that someone had multiplier issues with TF6100.

as for TF550, the latest BIOS update has already fix it, can use any multiplier already.

as with 754 and 939, all AMD that supports Cool n Quiet have unlocked multis (downwards)
