For Proton, no online version. But have got for Vauxhall Antara, which uses the same Bosch Multimedia Compact as Preve CFE. Just that it is rebadged as Opel Touch & Connect.

to be very sincere with you,i rarely take out my car when rush hour. the mentioned figure was about 80% highway and 20% city with moderate traffic and occasional start stop traffic.. i even done half tank from jalan duta shell to gurun caltex but had to fuel up because going in to thailand. that is why my fuelly figures are very low.

Im just almost oppositte your position. 80% city and 20% highway as mostly using it for working although distance to my office is just a mere 15 min drive without jam but if jam will take out 30-45 min if i was lucky. even highway i was in jam too even tried to travel back kampung at night also face jam pack or slow driving around 60km/h - 80 km/h...

that might explain high fuel consumption.. for me, its totally alright compared to my dad's old wira and his land cruiser.

Need help guys

My preve 2012 October
Last week, before my service, felt the car sluggish and turbo is spoofing louder than before and sudden lack of power and torque
So I thought it was due to time for service
After service, the loud turbo spoofing and lack of power and torque still persists
Anyone experience before and what's the solution?
Thanks a lot in advance!!

just an update guys,

arranged an appointment at Seksyen 13 PJ service centre today and went for it
told them that the problem with the loud turbo spoofing and lack of power
after foreman took a test drive with the technician, they also agree on it
after checking the hose of the turbo and connections to confirm no leaks or cracks, the problem still persists
then took out the air filter hose (which makes the turbo sounds much sexier) but problem still there
foreman suggested to reset the ecu/tcu for the car & gear box
and problem solved

issue is due to in January, i changed my car battery due to swollen at the side due to the hot engine bay
while changing the battery, the car engine is running to charge the alternator (which is a BIG NO according to the Seksyen 13 foreman and the correct way is to change is the engine is turned off)
with the engine running, some how caused the CVT pulley system was far apart hence the engine would need longer time to shrink for lower gears hence turbo was over spoofing and lack of power
once the reset is done, the CVT pulley system is at its optimum position and all is back to normal

its a learning process and i hope if next time other owners face similar situation, it wont be a panic

cheers!! biggrin.gif

any manual owner here?

im having trouble with the gear stick, a bit tight for me.
really hard to shift to gear 1 and 2.

another thing is the reverse mode,
sometimes the reverse alert sound is not there when i shift to reverse.

and i experienced the stick kick itself back up even when in reverse few times already,

Wow Good learning bro!! Glad to know everything is good now.
Anyway i just did my 1000 yesterday and just use Semi Synthetic 800.
Asked the foreman if need to do any ECU reset for optimum performance, the answer is no need to do so.
Somehow i read in forum, we have people who had their car reset during their 1k service which helps FC and Performance.
Anyway i asked if the next service i can buy my own EO, the SA say no... not sure if that is the case in all other service center.... thanks.

my experience is that some service centre allow customer to bring their own engine oil.
but to my opinion, Petronas semi synthetic engine oil feels sluggish after 3.5k of mileage

the reset of ECU after 1k was the first few batches of preve last time when the car felt sluggish..now all new cars comes with the latest software update thats why dont need

IMO, new gearbox will be tighter. If it's hard to change gear. Release the clutch and press clutch fully again then only change the gear. For my car (Persona), I changed the gearbox oil as early as 4xxx KM. Since it's still new, flush out all the debris. Hopefully this helps smile.gif

Any idea what this small part does and where it belongs to?

I got it in my cup holder after sending the car for car wash.

Underneath the front passenger seat. It is use to hold the weight sensor's electrical cable in place.

Small loop holds the cable to be neat. Big loop clips to the metal bar under the seat
