QUOTE(wengherng @ May 2 2014, 12:03 AM) Really? Dinning category in Wise card is a "trap" category. Reasons being:OK I didn't know that......big and flashy overpriced Chinese restaurant like that doesn't accept AMEX? Who would've thought. I think I'll just avoid this restaurant altogether, and save myself the trouble. Terribly overpriced, and food's not that spectacular anyway. 1. Difficult to control the dinning bill within average RM100 per transaction. 2. Can easily spend few hundred ringgit in one transaction, thus you need to spend more than 1k in order to hit 10x transactions. 3. You wouldn't know for sure the restaurant qualify for CB or not. Better drop the dining category and save the dining chargers for other CB card like OCBC or Amex. These 2 cards can get good upfront dining bill discount from 10% to 20% at quite a large selection of restaurants |

The default mobile category only cover [Maxis, Celcom, Digi, U Mobile and YES].
You can expend the list to almost all prepiad top up by selecting grocery category. I currently enjoying 10% CB for Hotlink, TuneTalk, Friendi, iTalk, Digi, Xpax, Xox. |

QUOTE(cx2531 @ May 6 2014, 11:42 AM) that mean 10 + 10 transacation per month? 20 transactions in a month means 0.7 transaction per day. That's a lot of planning and work to do and it is just minimum transaction requirement.how bout sub card ? so principal holder 5 transaction and sub card 5 transaction can also right? Unless one have a large TNB or Telco bills where he can split the payment in multiple transactions with ease over online payment method. |

QUOTE(wengherng @ May 6 2014, 11:54 PM) Take note of the minimum average 2 transactions of Rm 100 each u need to perform every 3 days. Quite a hassle if charge it at physical merchant.Unless you have a huge TNB n Mobile bills where you can split the bill to rm100 each and pay online. QUOTE(nelsonmui87 @ May 6 2014, 02:41 PM) So you get prepaid top up 10% CB from grocery category? Yes, that's right. Tesco sells prepaid. Caring Pharmacy is inside Tesco.Does Mobile category 10% CB applies to prepaid top up? If do so, how to get it? So, if you select grocery category, indirectly you got two sub bonus categories for Pharmacy and Mobile prepaid. The main Mobile category only cover Maxis, Celcom, Digi, U Mobile and YES. Tesco can help to cover other telcos. QUOTE(nelsonmui87 @ May 7 2014, 08:08 AM) I just know such things! Any t&c? Where to buy? For AEON big or Jusco also can? Wondering if tesco got such offer... got to find it out. Thanks for sharing For Jusco, I'm not sure because sometimes it can be under grocery and sometimes under departmental and sometimes neither both. You need to ask ronnie. QUOTE(tiffneedle @ May 16 2014, 10:23 AM) Hi, if sign up new plan and purchase phone from Maxis, does the total bill can enjoy 10% rebate? You can't get 10% if the charges to your wise card is in one large amount say rm1k. To get effectively 10% CB, the charges must spread to average Rm100 in 10 transactions. Check with Maxis is this is possible.Thx |

QUOTE(onnying88 @ May 16 2014, 11:39 AM) What if my usage bill is around rm1k? Like that also need split? I wonder too how if buy phone got 10% or not. Don not how Hlb determine it. If you don't split, you got only 1 transaction and you still need 9 x >RM50 transactions in order to qualify for CB.If you qualify, your monthly spend already more than RM1,450.00, so RM100 CB out of RM1,450 spend is how many %? |

QUOTE(kurt @ May 16 2014, 06:50 PM) They will said cannot waive and etc. So, before your one year anniversary, two months before the date, you call them, said you want to cancel, unless you can waive the AF and GST. Are you sure? Can you list out few apple to apple comparison examples ?Also, besides that, there are better credit card out there now. As far as I know there is no one best credit card for every one. All cards have pro and cons. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ May 23 2014, 09:48 PM) pardon me, but anyone tried using HLB Wise to pay bill (via online) for U Mobile Postpaid account? I remember a telco postpaid bill can be paid by prepaid reload pin. Pls check with U mobile if this is possible. If yes, you can buy UM pin from Tesco.Since payonline doesnt list umobile as one of the payee, any other options? My guess is another possible way is to link HLB Wise via Maybank2U to pay the bill. Thanks! |

QUOTE(audiocool @ May 26 2014, 01:36 PM) not so sure about the how the entitlement for cash back with 10 trancsation with RM50 is working? Don't bother about statement date. Just make your 10x transactions within a CALENDER month, Advisable to achieve it before 27th.My billing date is on 17th of each month. I remember the customer service inform me that I need to speed with 10 transactions with RM50 each from 1st of the month until 26th.... For my case, the transaction I made after 17th is consider next month bill already? Who can help to enlighten me? Thanks. |

QUOTE(Wongchoy @ May 27 2014, 12:09 PM) The factors might include high spending value, high transaction volume, high overseas usage, high usage outside your category, being a good paymaster, have paid a significant amount of finance charge etc... But still overall the answer is only known to CS and we could only speculate. I have been contemplating to cancel my wise card because of this issue but i decided against canceling it for the time being . Spending more than RM1k using WISE card is very UN-WISE. Effectively reduce the CB %. Most people max up the monthly RM100 CB cap and proceeded to use other CC for additional spending. Unless the card holder has only WISE card or failed his math.So the question of AF waiver due to high spending doesn't arise. QUOTE(Lil'Maine @ May 27 2014, 01:09 PM) just went to HLB to apply then i double confirm about this matter and the officer said that the sup card can contribute to the 10x >rm50 but sup card not entitled to the 10% rebate (such a turn off). that's y they don't advise applicants to go for sup card. instead go for the combo card. Not only supp card contribute to 10x transactions count, it also entitled to the 10% CB for the qualifying category but CB earned by supp card will be credited to the principal account.and also regarding the annual fee waiver, it's stated in the application form that we need to have a minimum 12 transactions then they can do a waiver for the subsequent years. when i was in MV the sales ppl only needed the applicant's EPF statement but they bank wants income tax, bank statement bla bla bla....then i pointed out about the application procedure in MV event then the officer said that's y most of the time will get rejected due to lack of supporting documents. (i wanted to show bank records of citibank, she said now they don't accept anymore BTW can anyone explain the combo GSC card free tix to me? the officer was trying to confuse me..i thought it would be straight up buy 1 tix online and free another tix for the same movie at the same time? Can you read again ? I think the 12 times transactions for AF waiver was not meant for WISE card. You may want to avoid GSC combo at all cost. Observe the total annual fee and check if you can get waived next year. |
