QUOTE(onnying88 @ May 12 2014, 05:14 PM) May I ask if my statement date is 18th, does it mean my monthly calculation for the rebate will be 30 days base on 18th this month to 17th next month? Or it will still calculate 30 days start from 1st of month? Abit confuse to plan my usage now. If your statement date is 18th , it only means your payment due date on the 7th or 8th of next month! Your monthly calculation start from the 1st of every calender month. You accumulate your transaction throughout the month until you reach 10 transactions of minimum RM50 posted into your account, then you qualify for CashBack ! At the last day of the month, your qualifying CB transactions that has been posted will be calculated and you will get the cash on the 28th of next month. QUOTE(cybpsych @ May 16 2014, 09:29 AM) this news more relevant to HLB Wise cardmembers buying/stocking-up Aeon vouchers with Grocery category We can try to compel a list of AEON store which sells vouchers under grocery. AEON Permas Jaya CS is under grocery because they are selling Marmite & Bovril on this counter !

With the recently launch of Public Bank Visa Signature which cover grocery dining and online transaction, do you all think this is a worthy upgrade from wise card. My wise card anniv is coming late June and i'm considering my options now. As some of you might be aware, my wise category is Dining and grocery so it is sort of a direct replacement. The benefit of PBB AF waiver leaves me a positive impression about this card. For the past year, i have enjoyed the wise card benefit so much, that after OCBC Titanium is converted to 1% and i duly cancelled it, i do not hesitate to apply for a 2nd card thru my wife name for utility and petrol usage. I would also not maintain both cards since my spending on dining and grocery is less than 1k a month. But since AF waiver for wise card is not guaranteed, I'd like to hear from you. Get PBB VS or maintain wise card and hope to qualify for AF waiver. Thank you This post has been edited by Wongchoy: May 19 2014, 10:12 PM

Having thinking all night, i have decided to apply for PB VS and maintain my wise card. Having both cards will enable me to judge which is a better card. PBVS is absolutely free for the next 12 months . And best if wise AF is waived. But since i never spent outside grocery, dining and mobile bills on my wise card and i pay in full every month, The possibility of waiver is very small indeed !

QUOTE(Angeline @ May 25 2014, 08:50 PM) if I have part time job RM700 per month, also fail??? I'm afraid HLB is quite selective in issuing wise card. It has gained the reputation of one of the toughest card to get alondside MBB2 . You may try though. This post has been edited by Wongchoy: May 25 2014, 09:32 PM

QUOTE(akh2920 @ May 27 2014, 10:29 AM) Salute!! Is it because of high spending? Or there are other factors which affect CS's consideration? The factors might include high spending value, high transaction volume, high overseas usage, high usage outside your category, being a good paymaster, have paid a significant amount of finance charge etc... But still overall the answer is only known to CS and we could only speculate. I have been contemplating to cancel my wise card because of this issue but i decided against canceling it for the time being .

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 27 2014, 03:01 PM) Spending more than RM1k using WISE card is very UN-WISE. Effectively reduce the CB %. Most people max up the monthly RM100 CB cap and proceeded to use other CC for additional spending. Unless the card holder has only WISE card or failed his math. So the question of AF waiver due to high spending doesn't arise. Not only supp card contribute to 10x transactions count, it also entitled to the 10% CB for the qualifying category but CB earned by supp card will be credited to the principal account. Can you read again ? I think the 12 times transactions for AF waiver was not meant for WISE card. You may want to avoid GSC combo at all cost. Observe the total annual fee and check if you can get waived next year. You are right, for spending above 1k this is the worst card around! Not that i wanna 'kutuk' but at least HLB should at least give us points for that sort of transaction. BTW i have refer to HLB CC app form. Subsequent year AF is NOT applicable to Wise CC .There is no AF waiver for 12 trnx made in 1 year.

QUOTE(MGM @ May 30 2014, 11:58 AM) Possible. 3 posibilities: all posted in May; all posted in June; worst case some in May and some in June, 0% rebate. If i get my card so late in the month, better go The Store and make 10 x RM50. At least trnx there can be posted the same day

QUOTE(Bonescythe @ Jun 1 2014, 04:39 PM) One thing I like about cash back in Hong Leong is cash back from Monday to Sunday. Unlike MBB 2 cards, only cash back on weekends. Weekdays is points. Some would really prefer to take the cash and no need the hassle. Unlike wise card, MBB2 pays last month rebate now... Wise card have to wait till end of the month !!

QUOTE(krpto88 @ Jun 8 2014, 04:53 PM) If I'm not mistaken, only New to Bank Customer entitle for First year af weaver and the following af cannot be waived coz its a cb card, only points card can request for af waiver Correct me if I'm wrong Everyone can request for AF waiver. Its up to the bank to waive or not. For wise card, some will get waiver, some will not. The conditions for waiver is still heavily under debate and the truth is still not known for us here at LYN yet. In the coming weeks will be my card anniv so i shall inform you all here.

If Primary Wise Card has 5x RM50 petrol transactions and Supplementary Wise Card has 5x RM50 petrol transactions, will I qualify for the petrol rebate? Total will be RM500 x 10% = RM50 credited into the Primary card account? Thanks Yes!

QUOTE(hmwong @ Jun 11 2014, 11:13 AM) I am going to cancel my Wise Card by end of this month (after 28th ie the cut-off date for the cashback). Question - Will I be entitled to the cashback earned this month if I cancel the card? Called HLB and the CS says the cashback will be allowed but in the T&C item 2c:- "Further, to be eligible to earn Cash-Back, the Cardholder’s Card Account(s) must be valid and in good standing, not overdue in payment and the Card Account(s), must not be closed or terminated by either the Cardholder or HLB."Can anyone out there enlighten me? TQ Let say you will cancel your card on 30th June. On the 28th June, your rebate for May will be credited. On the 28th July , the rebate for June will NOT be paid to you because your account is cancelled already.
