If you're in Sales, then it's super easy. Just say you went for client appointment.

Some excuses u can use:-

1. My car broke down.
2. My son/daughter having high fever ( if ur married)
3. My mom/dad having high fever
4. I twisted my ankle and I can't walk - good excuse then u can take normal leave as if u go see a chinese doc on this u won't get mc from them but ur employer will understand.
5. Some theif went into my house.
6. My maid ran off - then say u need to check if anything was stolen
7. etc etc

so many excuses u can make

If you use this excuse, make sure you play along; that is do not walk normally for a few days or do not play sports with your boss/colleagues the next day laugh.gif

I have something 2 ask related to the same matter here.

I've been working in this company for 3 months plus and i'm still not confirmed yet. Earlier, i went for an interview in another company and i just got a call from them that i got an offer. At the same time, this company that i'm currently working has just passed to me an performance evaluation form and i oledi pass the form to them. Honestly, i didn't really perform well in this current job.

Do you think i can just tender my resignation b4 they can evaluate my performance? Does it make any difference?

How can that be? Shouldn't you have annual leave and when you use your annual leave it is definitely for personal reason, whether it be for holidays or other things?

As for applying 1 week in advance, I had the same situation as well so I usually tell the interview that i needed to plan my leave and work with them to re-schedule the timing.

use emergency leave. they'll deduct it from ur annual leave anyway.

Why not? Since you are still in probation period, I guess you could give them 1 day notice for resignation. If you think the job from another company suits you better, then resign a.s.a.p before matter gets worse.

Since you signed the appointment letter liao, you must follow what stated in the letter. Labour law also cannot help you. Anyway, you will still entitle for the annual leave which you are not eligible to take while under probation. Upon resignation, the HR will decuct the annual leave for you.
