Another question is why my RAM speed are quoted running at 800Mhz with ? Aren't they supposed to run at 1600Mhz?
3Dmark listed my RAM module as Crucial Technology DDR3 @ 800 MHz which is differ from the one listed in the site ( Crucial Technology DDR3L @ 1600 MHz)
The memory is running at 800Mhz, but it sends data twice per clock, 800Mhzx2=1600Mhz. 3Dmark listed my RAM module as Crucial Technology DDR3 @ 800 MHz which is differ from the one listed in the site ( Crucial Technology DDR3L @ 1600 MHz)
Some programs report the base speed, and some the effective rate, that's why BIOS says 800 and CPU-Z says 1600.
It won't get damaged, that's just how DDR memory works.
