RX-17 EVO will not upgrade to skylake FYI.

It's not rumored lol.

It's a full desktop 980 that can be mounted into a laptop. They are calling it a GeForce GTX 980 with no M.

Clevo models with Skylake + the new 980 will be coming out in November afaik. Will be nice to see when Illegear can start offering them.

The 980 is nice because currently the skylake desktop CPU models are all single GPU. That being said, the 980M in sli still beats a single GTX 980 in both performance and cost.

They are probably going to offer the GTX 980 in sli form at some stage though, but the price is going to be pretty crazy.

Prince_J, can I ask for assistance? None of my USB3.0 and E-SATA ports have enough 'power' to run a HDD. For some odd reason, My RS-15's USB port cannot generate enough power it seems. Can I ask for assistance?

As I recall the RS-15 has 1 powered USB 3.0 port, but it doesn't seem to be enough to power up a portable HDD for some reason.
Any ideas that I can do? (Without sending it back of course LOL)

(I've tried plugging it individually to all ports, it doesn't work). Plugging to another laptop (non Illegear) works for some odd reason.
*edit: after some googling I'm very afraid if my laptops' USB power control circuit has fried. RIght now on another laptop I can power a USB external HDD and access contents with only 1 USB port, but on the RS-15 even using two, it disconnects and reconnects at random.

*add on 2:
tried another HDD. No dice. Power at max settings. Now i'm wondering what's going on.

*add 3: i use full power (battery options) while plugged in. No changes. Even charging a handphone on the "powered" usb is taking very long (i'm testing this since noon)

Actually for my SSD its only for OS, except for GTA 5 and WoW which is in the same C (SSD). No issues despite heavy gaming (and lengthy gaming sessions too).
So I've formatted the SSD, clean install. I'll try to install drivers (but I've no idea where to look for it), and I'm not willing to use windows 10 unless the drivers are there from Clevo (if any exists).

When I "refreshed" my Windows, it seems that certain settings were kept, such as my documents, etc, all on D instead of my C.

For some reason some programs just refuse to install into other drives claiming must C only (like Intel stuffs)
Is there a proper guide to this? I have 32GB of RAM, so i would definitely love this. I have an inkling of an idea what you're saying, because i've tried some guides on "lessening" read write stuffs on the SSD, but I'm just buzzed out why the temperature is so damn high.

What's your windows version?

Which SBX software edition did you install? The windows 8.1 version from the dvd?

The memory is running at 800Mhz, but it sends data twice per clock, 800Mhzx2=1600Mhz.
Some programs report the base speed, and some the effective rate, that's why BIOS says 800 and CPU-Z says 1600.
It won't get damaged, that's just how DDR memory works.    

Well for what I know the difference is the DDR3L can have 2 type voltage 1.5V and 1.35V if I'm not mistaken. Where DDR3 only support 1.5V. Some new motherboard/CPU used low voltage RAM. Low voltage means low heat produce maybe

There is no way it could be 800MHz. The DDR3L ram we use must be 1600MHz.
