so far tak drag pun. berapa kos tukar clutch plate? timing belt tukar masa 65k dulu. tak ingat lak berapa kos nye. kalau ada budget, nak tukar sekali.

sorry, byk soalan sikit. bukan ape, savvy ni nak bagi anak pakai kat Muadzam nanti. at least takde lah masalah sgt kalau condition ok dan ada wokshop yg paham dgn savvy kat sane nanti.
p/s.. nama same le kita, rasenya la

Bang, klac set bih kuang RM400. Pastikan carik ini budak jiash87, die juai Renot ori mia klac, taiming belt pon boley tanya sama die. Klu capayam klac pon sekitar RM300, baek pakei ori. Klac tak mahal, tapi upah mahai giler. Biasenye skali tukak klac set dah kena RM200.

Padahalnyer, walaupon tukak, mengenalpasti amik balek itu klac lama, klu boley simpan boley juai. Biasenyer itu getah belom gosok abish, itu spring sudah patah/lemah. So, simpan 1 kasi spare taupon juai bagi yg kurang naseb. Itu taim keta gua rosak pon camtu, tapi carik klac plate tiade juai, kena mau beli 1 set skali disc + bearing.

Klu pasal votej stebelaizer, pastinyer erictioh. Satu umah mia keta smua pakei produk pak Eric. Bukannyer pak Eric mia VS busaq, mau lagi busaq pon ade boley cari Cina mia lagi murah lagi busaq. Saye sukak VS pak Eric sbb response/discas laju. Simpan cas pon lama. Klu bukak itu VS dari keta, kena tunggu 1 hari 24 jam baru itu lampu lenyap. Spepat keta itu budak juai kira murah. Saye klu beli supplier pon bukan berape banyak murah dari die, so kira berpatutan la. Klu saye jau² pi carik supplier, petrol + toll pon ilang jugak, beza cuma 10 hinggit, mase lagi nak jem masok KL?

Previously use Germain's Liqui Molly 10w30 engine oil can last 7000km but 4 months later only traveled 4000 - 5000km, i guess every 3 months must change regardless of millage clocked.

So, plan to use Idemitsu 10w30 (5000km) for next round, any issue using Japanese oil on Savvy Renault engine?

or suggest alternative oil for low usage. Thanks in advance.

This is IDEMITSU 10w30 exactly the same oil but different packaging. Not quite compatible IMO yawn.gif It works for my Plotong GaGa, but emit loud tappet noise in my Shawie doh.gif

So, I have decided to do the following service to my Savvy before 'handing' it over to my kids.

1) Clutch plate replacement
2) Timing belt replacement
3) Radiator service (flushing only).

probably need to change the engine mounting as well, isn't it? How much the above cost from Proton SC and non-SC worksyop?

btw, where the heck is the Drain 'cock' for the radiator is located? If i know where, I'll probably do it myself...

Erm gais, planning to change to 195/45r15 tyres, will sagat bo?  hmm.gif saw someone write before wont sagat  rclxms.gif

The problem is the tayar width. Have figured Shawie max acceptable rim saiz is 6jj. If 6.5 JJ, it either kenna the wheel arch(if smaller offset), and or kena absorber(if bigger offset). You can use a 6J rim to accommodate 195 tayar geh, but your tayar will not look nais becoz the tayar wall will look fat and wobble doh.gif Currently NOX is using 195/50R15 without sagat is bcoz he plonk esoba stopper. Result is, more harsh when max kompress, less travel length. So it's a yes and no, depends on how you take it.

You can still opt for 195 geh, plonk abs stopper like NOX did lar

Hi. I Just bought a 2007 Proton Savvy AMT M-Line from a friend. I'm very new about this little car. Here's a little detail about it.

Year: 2007 | AMT | M-Line | Apple Green | 62k KM on the odometer

So far, I'm pleased with it. Good little car, I must say.

tq.

Will update you on the owner listing when I'm free. Meanwhile, search for a reputable workshop for Renault, otherwise do take our suggestion to only visit the known Shawie workshop. Maintaining this little monster aint cheap, not anyone cincai workshop can do, especially when you're on AMT. Cheers and welcome to the family! icon_rolleyes.gif

Tq bro david for the welcome.

BTW, my dad has found a Renault / Savvy specialist workshop in Shah Alam. He has sent the car and this is what he has done. Unfortunately, I didn't go with him because I malas sikit (banyak sebenarnya)  tongue.gif  plus my dad saja nak test savvy. Dengar cerita dari kawan pun dia kata situ memang ada kedai yang boleh repair savvy.

Total cost: RM120

What say you? Reasonable?
*
They used to called RS Auto, a very reputable Shawie specialist in Puchong. However, just a year or 2 ago, their service went bad due to overwhelming of seeking cheap solution customers pouring in. Tauke Mr.Ho no longer friendly, service was always done in a cincai manner by their banggalah. Many more complains about bad follow ups, and even more on customer needed to keep going back to repair the same stuff over and over again still can't get the job done properly. Finally, some unknown reason made them shift to Klang. The number on the receipt is Mr.Ho's number. Used to pickup and explain to you and or provide help, now you may dial, but he may not answer.

Latest news, some member went and try their luck with Mr.Ho again, apparently price was not as friendly as RS Auto anymore, but their service was slightly improved compare to the horrible time. It is now, strictly business. Regardless, their price is still consider reasonable, on par with Renautech. According to old timers in Shawie forums, in Klang got 1 tok guru of Shawie called osmanbaba, which is out member as well. I believe we've posted his contact number, you may wanna give him a call to book a slot if you wish to have him service your Shawie.
