I am quite aware of what they try to achieve but as buyers who paid the money, we should at least push for better connectivity, it is no help if we just sit here and cry over the situation, might just write to YTL and give them more pressure.

Don't worry too much over it, by the time the development is completed, the broadband landscape could have changed significantly, a lot of things can happen in 4yrs, i.e. TM bought over P1 and LTE is on the card, you could choose TM over YES by then.

Please correct me if i am wrong, regarding the mbb scheme, the interest is finance into the loan,so the first release let say 10%=50,000 interest let say 4.2%,rm210.so 4 years is 810.if add up all the release, the interest will become a big cost for the purchase,so for investor how to generate higher profit?thanks for your info and reply.

Wireless Internet is no substitute for wired ones which is cheaper and less limitation to bandwidth. I agree the landscape can change but change starts from actions of faceless individuals.

By the way YTL gave me a standard response as follows

Thank you for your email, the contents of which were noted, and which we have forwarded the relevant division within our YTL Group for their attention.

Kind regards.

It will be even better if they have plans build in fiber optics cable into each unit. biggrin.gif

Another question, I was wondering how come there were no bumi lots allocated during the sales of MF2 units?

in general, estimated 4% of total loan amount is your progressive interest for a 4-year project.
says you intend to get RM 500K loan, so the total progressive interest will be around 20K, and don't forget this 20K will also be charged 4.2% interest during this 4 years time, and it is depends on how long has the loan been released.
anyhow, after 4 years and VP, bank will only then calculate your monthly repayment based on original loan amount (500K) + total progressive interest & interest occured (about 20K + 2K) = 522K
if you tenure is 35 years, the montly repayment difference is only about rm82 higher,
but for flipper, the advantage is you no need to come out money during this 4 years, and you can utilize your money (this 20K) to invest into other thing like share market, which can generate more if you are lucky and wise enough, whereas just dispose midfield 2 after VP and earn the difference.

poor people always thinking of how to save money into bank
rich people always thinking of how to get loan from the bank

Trust me I know how you feel, I'm staying in MF1 and we still don't know if TM is willing to invest in wiring up the building.

I remember asking them if all future YTL development will only be made available with YES infra and they admitted so and MF2 will not be any different from any of their products launched after 2009

BRO, not sure any rules govern this, maybe can complain via legal way. MCMC? Consumer association or something?

Well for me at least they should provide the FTTH termination point at the building and ready the coper till each of the unit . Regardless TM or MAxis, or TIME. At least the infra are there....

I've been informed the same as well, as I last updated myself with MF1 situation, you guys are still somewhat 100 applicants shy for TM to take any action. Speaking of which, do you know exactly what's the missing piece in MF1? Is it due to missing cable link from TM's nearest equipment to Midfield 1? Or even the internal trunking and cabling itself is inadequate in MF1?

Currently, YTL is not entirely clear on the provision, all they told me was that they will not provide enough so that Telekom or any other wired providers can readily connect once hand over. I am trying to get a clear answer from them too before doing anything else

I don't think that's the correct mentality as a buyer, not especially when Malaysia just recently enacted Competition Act 2010 - http://www.lawyersworldwide.com/newsletter/201301/article1/, therefore the practice seemed even more questionable before.

But I am not here to talk about the legality of the issue though it would be an interesting angle to explore, I am here to urge potential buyers to make their voice heard regarding the situation, it doesn't hurt the buyers to voice out what they want especially before construction.

It's too late for Capers, Saffron, Centrio and Midfield 1, but it's not too late for future developments.

Bravo Bro Neb, we need more Malaysian citizens like you to bring Malaysia to the next level.
All those who commented no use or tidak apa since we can make money. Please realise that Malaysia is in such a dire state financially and politically because of our tidak apa attitude. It is because of that the stupid politicians ask you to balik China everytime

Guys, regarding the leasehold years remaining, I consulted the lawyer that day, he say most likely YTL will not renew the lease, thus the remaining years when MF2 completed will only left 90years..anyone can confirm that?
