Hi, I am taking Engineering for October intake in Sunway campus.
I have a friend who is staying at SS15 and he has a room to rent. I am wondering whether I should take the offer or not. Do you guys think it actually makes sense to walk from SS15 to campus everyday? Walking will take about 0.5 an hour. Or are there any other transportation alternatives? Or this is stupid and I should stay in campus accommodation? |

QUOTE(nksng96 @ Sep 6 2015, 05:16 PM) Hi, I am taking Engineering for October intake in Sunway campus. To get from SS15 to Monash I don't think only takes half an hour, plus it's not that safe to walk there, you would have to cross busy roads, roundabouts, and some secluded area. Imagine the weather + carrying your laptop/books. I have a friend who is staying at SS15 and he has a room to rent. I am wondering whether I should take the offer or not. Do you guys think it actually makes sense to walk from SS15 to campus everyday? Walking will take about 0.5 an hour. Or are there any other transportation alternatives? I think SS15 rent prices are quite similar to Sunway area (... both also high lol) + personal opinion SS15 not that safe, so might as well stay closer, can wake up later for classes |

QUOTE(BoxOnAChair @ Sep 9 2015, 08:13 PM) Hi In my opinion, if you're unsure of which major (economics, econometrics, finance, accounting, etc) to specialise in, then the Bachelor of Business & Commerce would be suitable due to the 'breadth' of topics covered by the course. However, if you want to cover the 'depth' of a particular major (say Finance), a B.Com would be preferred as you'll get to learn more advanced topics of your major in B.Com than in B.Bus & Com (provided if you perceive advanced knowledge=advantageous). Do take note that the B.Com's entry requirement is significantly higher than that of B.Bus & Com and the areas of study for B.Com in Sunway campus are very limited. In terms of job opportunity? It really depends on your personal quality upon graduation, I don't think the employers in Malaysia have a preference in either, but there could be exceptions as well.Anyone can comment monash's Bachelor of Business and Commerce or nottingham uni finance, accounting and management BA is better in terms of job opportunity in banks/finance institutions?
