10.9 CR does not need RON100. If that were true, then all modern cars would need it.

QUOTE(babylongreece @ Feb 24 2015, 12:49 AM) That because car have electronic system to control ignition which can reduce the octane rating by 5-7 but LC is just a moped and still using carburettor and that doesn't help. At least fuel injection can delay the oil injection till minutes before combustion and can use lower octane fuel. Like that ah, how about superbikes running with carburetors? Like the 11.6 on the 250R? Takkan this bike has electronic system to control ignition, right? Btw, controlling the ignition does not reduce the requirement of fuel octane. It happens only after 'knocking' has happened, to prevent it from happening again.I'm trying to tell you bikes don't need RON 100 fuel and I'm curious who taught you this. Knocking just make your engine go backwards and destroy it slowly. If you use big bore it is actually harder to reach high CR. That's why I urge you if spending so much money, get the specifications right.

QUOTE(stromae @ Feb 25 2015, 10:36 PM) Most non-Malaysian made budget tires are OK. Duro, Swallow, Deli, Corsa, FDR, are some brands I know.Local brands that I can trust are Dunlop, good year, IRC, FKR. One branded tire I still don't dare use is Michelin, the pilot sporty model. That was since 2009, not sure howit is now. I'm using Maxxis Volans MA5D for RM300 80/90 + 90/80 and Duro RS 70/90 + 80/90. |

demons88welcome to the ownership. remember to use mineral oil until at least until 5000km.
If you get free service, just use the Yamaha oil. Otherwise, look for Castrol. For more, check Page 1. My personal favorite is getting a 5 liter bottle of Rimula R3x and use until finish, for best economy. If can find Rimula R4x also ok. I last had R3x in my RGV gearbox, use for 2000km, then store for one year. When drain, it is still clear and gold color.
