yesterday, i accidentally went through a really deep pot hole doh.gif  cry.gif
the area got some constructions going on there, wasn't familiar with the road and it was getting dark 7.00 pm
i was in a rush... shouldn't have ride like that sad.gif

so, now that both my rims are 'bengkok' already
1. how much to fix this?
2. is it still safe to use them for a while?

Check the spokes for cracks, if nothing damaged, should be fine.
Air pressure may reduce sooner. Pay attention to that also.

thanks for the advice... I have checked and found out that there's no crack and the tyre pressure seems remain the same until today. I ride below 100kmh only until the rims repaired later...

Alright, good luck.

yep, plan to do it tonight or tomorrow night. already bought the high temp spray just now at NKS.
*
My experience with 'cheap' high temp paint, is that they don't last as long.
After you sandpaper them, and spray over the stock paint, they end up rusting up faster and making it worse.

My friend FZ, immediately after spray and start engine, the high temp paint turn white and peel off.

Better invest in good one.

yo sifu alexei, focusing on my car for 3 years. Now finally get the LC fixed and modified, and starting to miss LYN 135LC club.

How's things going on bro?
*
Same old. Can't believe I'm the TS for this club. New members these days, oldies are gone - either upgraded, switch to 4-wheel, study abroad etc...

You still located in PG?

Penang I know got few shops selling screws only. Usually I'd go to that kind of shop for high quality or custom stuff.

oh well.. when power addiction comes, there is no way to control.  flex.gif

btw, just flush my engine oil after 500km break in.
was using Motul fully synthetic 10w-40, now with Amsoil 20w-50 full synthetic.

Amsoil feels much better, esp at high rev. with 10w-40, anything beyond 10krpm feels like engine is going to shatter. But with 20w-50, easy 11krpm.

The exhaust flow still not good yet beyond 9krpm, waiting for custom make 1. However, with 20w-50, the backpressure caused by exhaust won't make the engine vibrate as much as 10w-40.

Tailow is back...
Is that the Amsoil you swapped with me last time?

charge-n-go Yeah, 20W-50 on 4 strokes makes the bike more tame. Easier to control and ride. Power comes slower. Much better film strength than 10W-40 especially dealing with piston ring. Let me know when wanna meet. My bikes are not in commission now. Again, I'm a textbook guy, no real experience...

125z can win other bikes on Sepang track, you say leh. Includes TZM, KIPS, NSR, and ZXR250. They lost on the straights, so power to weight ratio is the factor here, IMHO.

That K1, have you seen it run?

QUOTE(thianz @ Jan 6 2015, 06:22 PM)
pls dun try different grade of EO together ......
kawasaki K1 ? challage wat ???  2T memang menang depan 1 ... belakang .. entah .... let 2T go 1st ... 4T main belakang .... like i chase 125z relax at behind .... let me hisap some 2T smoke  ( if he use good 2T oil la )
*
125z menang depan becoz 6-gear ratio, and if you use 4-gear.

Compare the ratio, 125z to LC 4-speed:
1~3 = 1~2
3~5 = 2~3
5~6 = 3~4

So, after 60kmh, when LC masuk 3rd gear, that’s when you start to chase.

nice analysis there bro. modified 125z memang keat like no tomorrow. easily bore up to about 143cc, and 30hp. 6 speed is another killer. LC manual can fight, as they have a new 6-speed gearbox for it. autoclutch still remain 4-speed.

That K1, he said it is full standard. He thought I am using standard 135LC. After knowing I have 62mm, he is thinking to swap in KIPS engine (which I think its impossible). So, I dont know how far it can go.

Thinking to meet on 24/1 or 31/1 (Sat) 9am - 12pm time frame.

LC manual is 5-speed...

yea. ori is 5-speed, but can modify to 6-speed (i didnt mentioned it is a new modification, my bad). Bee Hock has 1 in his shop. but I pull till 4th gear 10krpm ady no balls to go further.
*
Check the gears ratio, they are only close ratio.
6-speed gearbox is needed if the tuned engine has narrow powerband bike.
You'll need to run dyno on every gear, to decide if you need it.

Example narrow vs wide powerband, why RGV and 125z need 6-speed:
125z - hp: 17.5ps/8000rpm - torque: 16.1 kgf-m/7500rpm
RGV - hp: 15.5ps/8000rpm - torque: 15.0Nm/7000rpm
LC - hp: 11.33ps/8500rpm - torque: 11.65Nm/5500rpm

charge-n-goFrom the looks of it, SSS has low torque boost, compared to other NOB1 pipes...
